CafeF recently unveiled the PRIVATE 100 list for 2025, honoring the top private tax-contributing enterprises in Vietnam.

To secure a spot in the Top 10, enterprises had to contribute a minimum of VND 4,800 billion in taxes. Notably, the top three positions were dominated by prominent automotive groups, each contributing over VND 10,000 billion.

VinGroup (VinFast) topped the list with an impressive tax contribution of VND 56,162.8 billion. VinFast is currently Vietnam’s leading electric vehicle and automobile brand, dominating domestic sales and expanding internationally. Their state-of-the-art complex in Hai Phong spans 335 hectares, with a design capacity of up to 500,000 automobiles and one million electric motorcycles per year, featuring a high level of automation. VinFast is also aggressively pursuing its global ambitions, targeting North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia to establish itself as an international electric vehicle brand.

THACO Group (THACO) secured the second position with VND 23,700 billion in tax contributions. Established in 1997, THACO has evolved into a diverse conglomerate encompassing six primary sectors: automotive, machinery & supporting industries, agriculture, construction, trade services, and logistics. THACO AUTO distributes a range of international (Kia, Mazda, Peugeot, BMW, MINI, Foton, Mitsubishi Fuso, Sinotruk) and domestic (THACO TRUCK, THACO BUS) brands through its extensive network of 453 showrooms and service centers, with a production hub in Chu Lai.

Ranking third is TC Group (Thành Công Group), with a contribution of VND 16,468 billion. Starting as a mechanical enterprise in 1999, TC Group has since expanded into three core businesses: automotive, real estate, and services. In the automotive sector, they deal in Hyundai and Skoda passenger cars, as well as trucks and buses, with three factories located in Ninh Bình and Quảng Ninh.

The fact that the top three enterprises on the PRIVATE 100 list are from the automotive industry underscores the growing significance of Vietnam’s automotive industry, not only domestically but also in their strategic global expansion plans, contributing substantially to the nation’s economy.
