According to Car News China, the Xiaomi SU7 ranks
bottom in the quality rankings for large electric sedans in China for Q1. Reports
suggest that the Xiaomi SU7 is prone to potential faults, with a high ratio of
complaints to sales.

This ranking is compiled by the China Automotive Quality Network, a platform that
records complaints operated by the China Market Supervision Administration. The
platform collects reports and complaints from Chinese car owners about faults,
risks, and deficiencies. Each report of this type is converted into a penalty
point. The more points a car model has, the lower the quality, according to
Car News China.

The China Automotive Quality Network ranks the Xiaomi SU7 last in the large
electric sedan segment with 239 penalty points, 56 points higher than the
segment average.

This large electric sedan segment includes 29 vehicles from Chinese brands. The
GAC Hyptec GT sports car tops the ranking with just 149 penalty points, with the
Voyah Passion in second place with 152 points. The Avatr 12, a joint venture
between Changan, Huawei, and CATL, ranks third with 153 points.

Other notable mentions in this list include the Zeekr 001 (185 points), Lotus
Emeya (185 points), BYD Han (194 points), and Denza Z9 GT (214 points).

Despite its low ranking, the Xiaomi SU7 has sold over 104,000 units in China in the
first four months of the year. The last-place ranking presents a new challenge
for Xiaomi, following a serious accident involving the SU7 on March 29 that
raised questions about the safety of the electric sedan.
