The automotive community was recently abuzz with the sighting of a rare Ferrari 488 Pista during its registration process. This particular model, a coupe, is the only one of its kind in Vietnam, making it an instant attraction for car enthusiasts.

The latest images reveal that the Ferrari 488 Pista Coupe now bears the license plate 51L-758.55. After years of being in the country, the car has finally been fully taxed, transitioning from a diplomatic plate to a regular white plate, reflecting the current owner’s style.

Initially owned by a low-key businessman who registered the car with a diplomatic plate, the Ferrari 488 Pista Coupe was sold to “Qua” Vu in April 2024. Now, the supercar boasts a white license plate.

With the new 51L plate, this supercar will soon be cruising the streets of Ho Chi Minh City or joining the owner’s collection of white-plated Ferraris, including the 488 Pista Spider, 458 Speciale, and 430 Scuderia—all high-performance models.

When the Ferrari 488 Pista was launched, it retailed for approximately 7.7 billion VND. According to car enthusiasts, the sole Ferrari 488 Pista Coupe in Vietnam is estimated to cost over 28 billion VND after taxes and on-road fees.

There are currently about five Ferrari 488 Pistas in Vietnam, including four convertibles and the unique coupe featured in this article. “Qua” Vu owns a pair of these high-performance cars—one convertible and one coupe. The exterior boasts a stunning Rosso Corsa red with a bold silver and black stripe running from the front bumper, over the hood, roof, and onto the rear spoiler.

Under the hood, the Ferrari 488 Pista is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 engine, tuned to deliver a maximum output of 711 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 770 Nm of peak torque at 3,000 rpm.

Not only does the Ferrari 488 Pista offer an additional 50 horsepower compared to the 488 GTB, but it also sheds about 90 kilograms in weight, resulting in a remarkable 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 2.85 seconds and a top speed of 330 km/h.
