The luxurious Rolls-Royce brand has an undeniable allure for entrepreneurs in Hanoi, with over half of the hundreds of imported super-luxury cars choosing the city as their first destination. It’s not surprising that businessmen in Hanoi have a penchant for luxury and ultra-luxury vehicles, a preference that sets them apart from their counterparts in Ho Chi Minh City, where supercars are more prevalent.

A testament to this fascination is the recent appearance of five Rolls-Royce cars on the streets of Hanoi, gracing two opulent hotels deemed the capital’s epicenter of ultra-luxury vehicles. This remarkable gathering has captivated car enthusiasts and attracted special attention.

Of the five Rolls-Royce cars, three are the coveted Cullinan model. Two of them are standard versions, one in gray and the other in red, while the third, a Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge, stands out in a sleek black finish—the most expensive variant available in Vietnam.

The Cullinan Black Badge is a darker interpretation of the luxury SUV, featuring a mysterious black exterior with chrome, polished, and silver elements replaced by darker alternatives. The iconic Spirit of Ecstasy figurine, grille, headlamp and taillamp trims, door and exhaust surrounds, and other details are all finished in black, enhancing the vehicle’s enigmatic allure.

The Cullinan Black Badge also boasts a striking set of two-tone, five-spoke alloy wheels—a design highlight among contemporary SUVs. This particular model offers enhanced performance compared to its standard counterpart.

Under the hood, the Black Badge variant delivers an impressive 592 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque, thanks to its 6.75-liter V12 engine with twin-turbocharging. This represents a notable increase of 29 horsepower and 50 Nm over the standard Cullinan.

The engine is paired with a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission, all-wheel drive, and a brand-new four-wheel steering system. This combination enables the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5 seconds, reaching a top speed of 250 km/h.

Turning our attention to the two Rolls-Royce Ghosts in the group, we find a completely new generation with bold design changes, particularly in the LED headlights and taillights, as well as a new set of multi-spoke alloy wheels. However, the overall silhouette retains the rounded, aristocratic elegance that is quintessentially Rolls-Royce.

The second-generation Rolls-Royce Ghost carries a price tag of over $1.3 million in Vietnam, excluding additional options. Some of the initial imports, which were not through official channels, reached a staggering $1.7 million. The new Ghost boasts significant exterior updates, including LED headlights and taillights, alongside redesigned iconic features. It also introduces a new set of multi-spoke alloy wheels.

One of the most captivating options available for the Ghost is the starry sky headliner, which can be customized to replicate the exact constellation on the day of the owner’s birth, with stars that move identically to that night. This bespoke feature comes at an additional cost.

The Illuminated Fascia, a masterpiece crafted by Rolls-Royce artisans, takes center stage in the Ghost’s interior. Over 850 stars are meticulously arranged and illuminated, requiring more than 10,000 hours of dedication from the skilled engineers.

Under the hood, the new Ghost retains the familiar 6.75-liter V12 engine with twin-turbocharging, producing 563 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 850 Nm of torque at 1,600 rpm. This power plant is coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission, enabling the super-luxury sedan to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
