Mitsubishi Xpander Offers Nearly $100 Million Discount Ahead of New Version Launch

According to the plan, the upgraded versions of the Mitsubishi Xpander and Xpander Cross will officially launch in Vietnam this September. As the release date of the new versions approaches, Mitsubishi is offering significant discounts on the Xpander to clear existing inventory.

Specifically, in September 2025, Mitsubishi is offering a 50% discount on registration fees for the MT and Cross versions, valued at 28 million VND and 35 million VND, respectively. The MT version also includes a 15 million VND fuel voucher and a 2.5 million VND reverse camera. The Xpander Cross comes with a 20 million VND fuel voucher and a 20 million VND 360-degree panoramic camera.

Meanwhile, the AT and AT Premium versions of this MPV receive a 100% registration fee discount, equivalent to 60 million VND and 66 million VND, respectively. Additionally, the AT version includes a year of comprehensive insurance worth 8 million VND. The AT Premium version offers a year of comprehensive insurance worth 9 million VND and a 360-degree panoramic camera. The total discount for the AT Premium version reaches 95 million VND.

With the new version’s launch approaching, the Mitsubishi Xpander offers discounts of nearly 100 million VND.

Mitsubishi is also extending promotional programs to other models, including the Triton, Xforce, and Attrage. The Mitsubishi Triton offers a 100% registration fee discount for all three versions—2WD AT GLX, 2WD AT Premium, and 4WD AT Athlete—valued between 40 million VND and 56 million VND. A 10 million VND gift is also included for customers purchasing this pickup truck.

For the Xforce, Mitsubishi provides a 100% registration fee discount for the standard GLX version, saving customers 60 million VND. The Premium and Ultimate versions receive a 50% registration fee discount, valued at 34 million VND and 35.5 million VND, respectively. Fuel vouchers worth 15 million VND to 25 million VND are also included for the Premium and Ultimate versions of this B-segment SUV.

Finally, the Mitsubishi Attrage offers a 100% registration fee discount for the MT version and a 50% discount for the CVT Premium version, valued at 38 million VND and 24.5 million VND, respectively. The MT version includes an 8 million VND fuel voucher and a 2.5 million VND reverse camera. The CVT Premium version comes with a 20 million VND fuel voucher and a 1.5 million VND shark fin antenna.

Overall, in Vietnam’s affordable car segment, Mitsubishi offers attractive discounts to counter the ongoing impact of the Ghost Month, which traditionally affects consumer spending.

In August 2025, also influenced by the Vietnamese tradition of avoiding major purchases during the Ghost Month, Mitsubishi recorded total sales of 2,180 units, falling behind VinFast, Toyota, Ford, Hyundai, and Honda. Notably, no Mitsubishi model, including the Xpander, achieved sales exceeding 1,000 units in August 2025.
