On August 13, the Vietnam Road Administration issued a decision to adjust and supplement the pilot traffic organization plan on the Hanoi – Hai Phong and Phap Van – Cau Gie expressways.

The plan will be implemented for one month, starting from August 15, as proposed by the Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) and approved by the Ministry of Construction.

Hanoi – Hai Phong Expressway

Vehicles are allowed to travel on the main route of the expressway, utilizing 3 motor vehicle lanes, each 3.75 meters wide. Drivers must adhere to the signage installed along the route, lane-specific vehicle regulations, and the prohibition of trucks in lane 1 (adjacent to the central median).

Lane 1 permits a maximum speed of 120 km/h and a minimum of 90 km/h. Prohibited vehicles include: standard trucks (except single-cabin and double-cabin pickups, and van trucks), specialized trucks (except cash-in-transit vehicles), specialized vehicles, tractor units, and semi-trailers.

Lane 2 allows a maximum speed of 120 km/h and a minimum of 80 km/h.

Lane 3 has a maximum speed limit of 100 km/h and a minimum of 60 km/h.

Phap Van – Cau Gie Expressway

The Phap Van – Cau Gie Expressway features 3 motor vehicle lanes, each 3.75 meters wide, and a 3.0-meter emergency stop lane. Trucks are prohibited in lane 1 (adjacent to the central median).

U-turns are not permitted on the expressway. The emergency stop lane is exclusively for vehicles in distress. Traffic guidance is provided through lane markings and signage.

Lane 1 has a maximum speed limit of 100 km/h and a minimum of 80 km/h. Prohibited vehicles include standard trucks (except single-cabin and double-cabin pickups, and van trucks), specialized trucks (except cash-in-transit vehicles), specialized vehicles, tractor units, and semi-trailers.

Lane 2 allows a maximum speed of 100 km/h and a minimum of 70 km/h.

Lane 3 permits a maximum speed of 100 km/h and a minimum of 60 km/h.

Speed limit reminders will be painted at strategic locations for driver convenience.
