In August 2025, VinFast delivered 2,745 VF 5 electric vehicles to domestic consumers, marking a 7.5% growth rate. This achievement not only solidified the VF 5 as VinFast’s best-selling model but also as the top-selling vehicle in the entire market. VinFast VF 5

The VinFast VF 5 is currently available in a single version, priced at 529 million VND with the battery included. Beyond its attractive pricing, the vehicle boasts low operating costs, minimal maintenance requirements, an extended warranty policy, a nationwide public charging station network, and a complimentary battery charging program until June 30, 2027.

Powering this “made in Vietnam” electric vehicle is an electric motor with a maximum output of 134 horsepower and a peak torque of 135 Nm, making it the most powerful in Vietnam’s A-class SUV segment. The vehicle’s range on a single charge, as per the NEDC test cycle, is 326.4 km.

Kia Sonet: 318 Units

Securing the second position in the A-class SUV segment for August 2025 is the familiar name, Kia Sonet. This South Korean model saw a 21.6% sales decline, selling 318 units. Compared to the segment leader, VinFast VF 5, Kia Sonet’s sales are approximately one-eighth.

Kia Sonet

Kia Sonet is currently the most diverse and expensive model in Vietnam’s A-class SUV segment, offering four versions priced between 499 and 624 million VND. It features a youthful, trendy design and well-equipped amenities for its class.

Under the hood, the Kia Sonet is powered by a 1.5L four-cylinder gasoline engine, delivering a maximum power output of 113 horsepower and a peak torque of 144 Nm. This engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that simulates eight gear ratios.

Toyota Raize: 304 Units

In August 2025, the Toyota Raize closely trailed the Kia Sonet, selling 304 units, just 14 units shy of its South Korean competitor. Compared to July 2025, the Toyota Raize’s sales decreased by 17.8%.

Toyota Raize

Like the VinFast VF 5, the Toyota Raize is available in a single version in Vietnam, starting at 510 million VND. It is a popular choice among customers in the A-class SUV segment due to its reputable brand, compact design, and diverse features.

The Toyota Raize is powered by a 1.0L turbocharged gasoline engine, producing a maximum power output of 98 horsepower and a peak torque of 140 Nm. This engine is mated to a Direct Shift-CVT (D-CVT) transmission.

Hyundai Venue: 108 Units

The model with the highest sales decline in the A-class SUV segment is the Hyundai Venue. This South Korean vehicle sold only 108 units to Vietnamese customers in August 2025, a 36% decrease.

Hyundai Venue

The Hyundai Venue is the most affordable model in the A-class SUV segment, priced between 499 and 539 million VND. Despite its low price, it does not compromise on design or features.

Notable features include LED lighting, 16-inch alloy wheels, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay support, USB-C charging ports, a six-speaker sound system, push-button start, smart key, automatic climate control with rear vents, six airbags, a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, cruise control, speed limiter, tire pressure monitoring, and automatic headlights.
