Lexus has unveiled a mid-cycle refresh for its luxury RX crossover, introducing several notable enhancements.

The highlight of this update is the all-new RX 450h+ Premium plug-in hybrid, starting at $66,680, offering customers a more accessible entry point into electrified vehicles.

The RX 450h+ Premium boasts impressive features, including a power liftgate, panoramic sunroof, 21-inch alloy wheels, and NuLuxe synthetic leather seats with heating and ventilation. Inside, it features a heated steering wheel, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14-inch central touchscreen, and a 12-speaker sound system.

Across the entire RX lineup, Lexus has upgraded standard equipment, notably adding wireless phone charging, a feature previously absent and criticized in this luxury crossover.

For the sporty variants, the RX F Sport Handling and F Sport Performance now offer a Black Line-inspired appearance package. This includes color options like Ultra White, Cloudburst Gray, Iridium, Incognito, and Caviar, paired with black 21-inch wheels and striking orange brake calipers. The interior features a black theme with gray contrast stitching, enhancing its bold and dynamic character.

Powering the 2026 Lexus RX are several drivetrain options:

The RX 350 features a 2.4L turbocharged engine, delivering 275 hp and 429 Nm of torque.

The RX 350h and RX 500h hybrids combine a gasoline engine with electric motors, producing 246 hp (316 Nm) and 366 hp (550 Nm), respectively.

The flagship RX 450h+ plug-in hybrid pairs a 2.5L engine with three electric motors and an 18.1 kWh lithium-ion battery, offering 304 hp and an all-electric range of up to 61 km.

The 2026 Lexus RX starts at $51,175, including delivery fees, a $600 increase over the previous model.
