According to Carscoops, BMW’s Neue Klasse design language will dominate its lineup in the coming years. This new design era, already teased through concepts and set to debut on the second-generation iX3, promises to make future BMW models significantly more visually appealing.

The BMW 7-Series has been a polarizing design, with its split headlights and oversized kidney grille. However, the facelifted version of this flagship sedan will introduce fresh updates inspired by the Neue Klasse design philosophy.

Despite heavy camouflage, spy shots of the updated BMW 7-Series reveal a more compact grille, with a glossy black upper section and a small camera integrated into the right panel. The grille features horizontal slats, a departure from the vertical arrangement of the current model.

Most Neue Klasse models boast slim, grille-integrated headlights. While it’s unclear if the new 7-Series will adopt this design, spy shots suggest the headlights remain split, similar to the current model.

The side profile of the new BMW 7-Series remains largely unchanged, with a familiar rear silhouette. The updated model is expected to feature new alloy wheel designs and refined LED taillights.

According to Carscoops, the 7-Series’ interior will undergo a complete overhaul. While no images have been released, the flagship sedan may feature the new Panoramic Vision system, replacing the current dual-screen setup with a single, dashboard-spanning display. This feature is expected to debut on the production version of the Vision Neue Klasse X SUV.

BMW is expected to continue offering gasoline and plug-in hybrid powertrains for the 7-Series, alongside the all-electric BMW i7. Minor enhancements are possible, but the overall powertrain lineup will likely remain similar to the current offerings.
