According to Carscoops, Ford has surpassed 100 recall campaigns in the U.S. before the end of August. Recently, the automaker’s total recalls surged from 98 to 104.
Chrysler, the second-largest American automaker behind Ford, has recorded 21 recalls in the U.S. since the beginning of the year. This means Ford has issued nearly five times as many recalls as its closest competitor.
Since the start of the year, Ford has recalled more vehicles than all its rivals combined, including Chrysler, Volkswagen, General Motors, Mercedes, Honda, and Hyundai.
The three most recent recalls by Ford in the U.S. involve reverse lights that may flicker when the headlights are on. This issue affects 22,166 2022 Ford F-150 pickups.
Most of these vehicles are being recalled for the first time, while others are subject to a second recall. Depending on the vehicle’s condition, dealers will either update the LED lighting control module software or replace the module entirely.

A 2024 Mustang is also being recalled due to a previous repair issue. The instrument cluster may fail to function during startup or while driving. Since this is a software issue, dealers will only update the instrument cluster.
Another recall affects 102 2024-2025 Lincoln Nautilus vehicles. The automatic window reversal system may not respond accurately to obstructions, such as fingers, causing the window to continue closing. To address this, dealers will reinstall the software module for the front doors.
Lincoln is also recalling 41,875 2020-2022 Corsair vehicles. Records indicate that water may enter the rear camera connections, causing the image to fail to display. To resolve this, dealers will replace the rear camera and wiring harness.
