On September 25th, during the seminar titled “Green Transportation Transformation – Breakthrough Investment Opportunities” as part of the HCMC Business Summit 2025 organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Young Business Association (YBA HCM) in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Women Entrepreneurs Association (HAWEE), PNJ officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with three strategic partners: VinFast, GSM, and V-Green.

As Vietnam aims to achieve Net Zero by 2050, green transportation has become an inevitable trend and is considered a cornerstone of many companies’ ESG strategies. Driven by the responsibility to accompany the nation and a vision for sustainable development, PNJ has decided to partner with strategic allies to implement green solutions in practical operations.

Under the MOU, PNJ will collaborate with VinFast to encourage the transition of employees’ personal vehicles to electric cars through a series of activities, including introductions, test drives of VinFast electric vehicles, and preferential policies for purchasing electric cars and motorcycles.

With GSM, the partnership focuses on green mobility and logistics solutions. Specifically, PNJ will prioritize using GSM electric taxis for internal travel and business logistics, co-sponsor Green SM travel codes for employees and customers, and promote eco-friendly commuting habits. Both parties will also collaborate on communication efforts to spread the message of sustainable living to the community.

Simultaneously, PNJ and V-Green will develop charging station infrastructure at PNJ’s stores, offices, and factories. The installation of charging stations will comply with legal regulations and receive approval from relevant parties, ensuring convenience for employees and customers.

Implementing these solutions—from personal vehicles and logistics to charging infrastructure—not only optimizes PNJ’s internal operations but also promotes a green transportation model across the business ecosystem and community.

At the event, a PNJ representative stated: “Partnering with VinFast, GSM, and V-Green is not only a strategic step in green transportation transformation but also a concrete realization of PNJ’s ESG commitment: ‘Acting responsibly to honor the beauty of people and life sustainably.’ For PNJ, responsibility goes beyond compliance—it’s a commitment to action and relentless pursuit of practical solutions to reduce emissions and build sustainable value. PNJ believes that connecting with green partners will create a synergistic effect, driving the green transition within the business community and society at large.”

The company representative added that this collaboration aligns with the 12 key themes in PNJ’s ESG strategy and its “Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Commitment” approved by the Board of Directors in 2025. PNJ pledges to reduce its emission intensity by 15.8% by 2030 compared to 2023, gradually inventory greenhouse gas emissions, and develop reduction solutions for Scope 3. The company also commits to achieving Net Zero for all operations (Scopes 1 and 2) by 2050.

Representing the three Vingroup ecosystem companies partnering with PNJ, Mr. Nguyễn Thành Dương, CEO of V-Green Global Charging Station Development JSC, shared: “V-Green, alongside strategic partners VinFast and GSM, is delighted to welcome PNJ—a reputable and leading enterprise—in our green transformation journey toward sustainable development goals. V-Green is confident that with the collective efforts of responsible Vietnamese businesses and community support, we will co-create a green and civilized transportation ecosystem, reducing emissions and fostering a healthier environment for all.”

These commitments and actions reflect PNJ’s consistent 37-year philosophy of “prioritizing customer and societal interests within business interests.” They also demonstrate the company’s ability to balance financial performance, customer satisfaction, employee development, and community responsibility, creating long-term value for all stakeholders.

Previously, PNJ was honored at several prestigious awards, including its third consecutive appearance in the CSA 2025 rankings, notably in the Waste Reduction Pioneer (E) and Outstanding CSR Activities (S) categories. The company also won the “Sustainability Leadership” award at the Jewelry World Awards (JWA) 2025 in Hong Kong, becoming Vietnam’s sole representative.
