To commemorate three decades since the CR-V’s global debut, Honda has unveiled the Global 30th Anniversary Edition of its popular mid-size SUV. Unfortunately, this special edition is exclusively available in the Chinese market.
In the neighboring Vietnamese market, the CR-V is manufactured by Dongfeng Honda, while its sibling, the Breeze, is produced by GAC Honda. Consequently, the 30th Anniversary Edition of the CR-V is also manufactured and distributed by Dongfeng Honda.
Exterior-wise, the 30th Anniversary Edition closely resembles the standard Honda CR-V. It features LED headlights, an active shutter grille, and body-colored trim on the hybrid variant. Depending on the trim level, it comes with 17-inch, 18-inch, or 19-inch alloy wheels.

The interior is where the Honda CR-V Global 30th Anniversary Edition truly stands out. It boasts a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, and a panoramic sunroof. In contrast, the U.S. market CR-V features a 9-inch touchscreen and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster on lower trims.

Another notable difference is the inclusion of heated and ventilated front seats in the Chinese edition. Additionally, the steering wheel and rear seats also feature heating capabilities.

Chinese buyers of the 30th Anniversary Edition can choose between 5-seat and 7-seat interior configurations. The top-tier variant includes power tailgate, 50W wireless charging, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, a head-up display (HUD), and the advanced Honda Sensing 360+ safety suite.

Under the hood, the Honda CR-V Global 30th Anniversary Edition offers no surprises. It retains the same powertrain options as the standard CR-V. The first is a familiar 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine, delivering 190 horsepower and 243 Nm of torque. It pairs with a CVT and offers front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD).
The alternative is a hybrid powertrain, combining a 2.0L four-cylinder engine with two electric motors, producing a total of 181 horsepower and 335 Nm of torque. This self-charging hybrid system is also available with FWD and AWD configurations.

The most surprising aspect is the pricing. In China, the 30th Anniversary Edition ranges from 145,900 to 209,900 CNY (approximately $510 – $734 million VND). In contrast, the Honda CR-V in Vietnam is priced between 1.029 and 1.259 billion VND.
