In the Indian market, the mid-size SUV Skoda Kodiaq is currently available in two variants: Sportline and Selection L&K. Recently, the Czech brand introduced a more affordable standard version named Lounge to the lineup.

Priced at 3,999 million Indian Rupees (approximately $14,990 USD), the new Skoda Kodiaq Lounge is significantly more affordable than its counterparts. It undercuts the Sportline by 377,000 Rupees ($1,300 USD) and the top-tier Selection L&K by 597,000 Rupees ($2,000 USD). With the new GST 2.0 tax applied, the Kodiaq’s price range in India is between 3,999 and 4,596 million Rupees ($14,990 – $16,780 USD).

Beyond its attractive pricing, the Skoda Kodiaq Lounge features distinct exterior design elements. Notably, it sports 18-inch Mazeno alloy wheels. The standard variant is available in three color options: Moon White, Magic Black, and Graphite Grey.

In contrast, the Sportline and Selection L&K variants offer additional color choices, including Race Blue and Velvet Red. The Sportline exclusively features Steel Grey, while the top-tier Selection L&K boasts the unique Bronx Gold metallic finish.

The interior of the Skoda Kodiaq Lounge also differs from its premium counterparts. Most notably, it lacks the third-row seating, offering a 5-seater configuration instead of the 7-seater layout found in the other variants.

The absence of the third row significantly increases the Lounge’s cargo capacity from 281 liters to 786 liters, enhancing its practicality. Additionally, the interior is upholstered in grey suede-like fabric.

Further interior distinctions include a two-spoke steering wheel, replacing the three-spoke design of the higher trims. The Lounge also omits certain premium features such as the power tailgate with kick sensor, the 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and the 725W Canton 13-speaker sound system. Instead, it comes equipped with a 10.4-inch infotainment screen and a 100W 9-speaker audio setup.

In terms of safety, the Lounge variant matches the Sportline and Selection L&K, though it lacks the 360-degree camera and driver fatigue alert system.

Under the hood, the Skoda Kodiaq Lounge is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, delivering a maximum output of 204 horsepower. This engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system, consistent across all variants.

In Vietnam, the new generation Skoda Kodiaq was launched in February 2025, available in two variants priced between $50,000 and $51,000 USD. Compared to the previous generation, the starting price has increased by $7,000 USD, while the top-tier variant is $2,400 USD more expensive.
