The Ferrari 812 GTS is a rare gem among convertibles, boasting a naturally aspirated V12 engine that speed enthusiasts crave. After years of anticipation, three of these stunning vehicles have finally arrived in Vietnam in 2024 and 2025, all through non-official channels.

The allure of the Ferrari 812 GTS is undeniable, as all three units have already found owners. The third arrival, in particular, stands out with its unique paintwork and interior customization, making it not only one-of-a-kind in Vietnam but also a rarity worldwide.

This particular Ferrari 812 GTS is a product of Ferrari’s exclusive Atelier program, which allows customers to personalize their vehicles in private studios with expert guidance. Using 3D configurations and a vast array of materials, clients can choose exterior paint, interior finishes, wheel designs, brake calipers, and carbon fiber details to create a Ferrari that truly reflects their individuality.

Exterior Design

The Ferrari 812 GTS Atelier in Vietnam features the Verde Masoni Metallic Opaco paint, a matte green finish that exudes sophistication. The owner’s choice of this customization program, second only to Tailor Made, showcases their exceptional taste.

A supercar without contrasting accents can appear dull, so the owner opted for black glossy multi-spoke wheels and various black details, adding a striking contrast. While the addition of stripes on the hood, sides, or rear, as seen on the limited-edition Ferrari 812, would have been a perfect touch, the overall aesthetic remains impressive.

The Ferrari 812 GTS, with its Verde Masoni Opaco paint, is a special offering from the Italian marque. Unlike previous flagship models like the Ferrari 599 GTB and F12 Berlinetta, the 812 GTS is a convertible variant of the 812 Superfast, of which two units already exist in Vietnam.

The key distinction between these models is the 812 GTS’s retractable hardtop, which can be opened or closed in just 14 seconds, even while driving at speeds under 45 km/h. This feature allows owners to enjoy the open-air experience at their convenience.

The 812 GTS’s rear end has been redesigned, featuring two distinctive ridges and a luggage compartment cover. The rear bumper has also been reshaped, incorporating a small spoiler to compensate for the absence of the aerodynamic wing found on the 812 Superfast.

Two small L-shaped wings on the front windshield corners help reduce air turbulence and wind noise, ensuring a quieter cabin at high speeds, allowing drivers to fully appreciate the car’s performance.

Interior

While the exterior’s Verde Masoni Metallic Opaco paint is eye-catching, the interior customization is equally impressive. The door sills, steering wheel, and center console are adorned with colored carbon fiber, specifically Matte Verde Militare, a military green that exudes elegance and showcases the owner’s discerning taste. The Alcantara upholstery further enhances the interior’s sophistication.

The Atelier logo on the green carbon fiber door sill is a subtle yet distinctive touch. This Ferrari is one of the few in Vietnam with a colored carbon interior, the most recent being a Ferrari 296 GTS with a Tailor Made customization owned by a businessman from Ba Ria Vung Tau.

Powertrain

The Ferrari 812 GTS is the most powerful V12 convertible currently available, featuring a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine producing 789 horsepower and 718 Nm of torque. This powerhouse accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and reaches 200 km/h in 8.3 seconds, with a top speed of 340 km/h, matching the performance of the 812 Superfast.

According to Ferrari, the 812 GTS is the first front-engine V12 convertible produced in high volumes in 50 years, following the 365 GTS4’s discontinuation in 1969. Prior to the 812 GTS, Ferrari’s V12 convertibles were limited-edition models.
