VinFast Sweeps Car Choice Awards 2025 with a Shower of Prestigious Wins

During the Better Choice Awards (BCA) 2025 Gala held on October 3rd at the National Innovation Center (NIC), VinFast stole the spotlight as the most awarded brand of the night.

Specifically, the VF 3 secured a double victory at the Car Choice Awards (CCA) under BCA, winning both “Market-Leading Vehicle” and “GenZ Car of the Year.” Meanwhile, the VF 5 – Herio Green solidified its position by claiming the title of “Service Vehicle of the Year.” Beyond its vehicles, VinFast also earned the “Breakthrough Automotive Brand” award, capping off a triumphant season and cementing its leadership as a Vietnamese automotive powerhouse.

A Well-Deserved Double Win for VF 3

In the “Market-Leading Vehicle” category, the VinFast VF 3 outperformed formidable competitors like the Mazda CX-5 and Ford Ranger, securing a final score of 7.7. This award recognizes the vehicle that has made the most significant impact on Vietnam’s automotive market, reshaping consumer habits.

According to Ms. Bùi Mai Linh, a member of the CCA 2025 Professional Judging Panel, the VinFast VF 3 has become a trendsetter in Vietnam, pioneering the affordable electric mini-car segment. It has broken down barriers associated with luxury vehicles, bringing the concept of “one car per family” closer to the masses. The VF 3 has created a societal shift, altering perceptions of car ownership and compelling other manufacturers to adjust their strategies in Vietnam’s green transition.

Additionally, the VF 3 was crowned “GenZ Car of the Year” with an impressive final score of 9.1, surpassing rivals such as the Lynk & Co 06 and Honda Civic. This award celebrates vehicles that embody dynamic design, smart features, and connectivity tailored to the vibrant lifestyles of young adults.

The judging panel highlighted the VF 3’s strengths, including its GenZ-friendly design, accessible pricing, and cutting-edge technology. “The VF 3 stands out with its GenZ-approved design—youthful, bold, and far from conventional or monotonous. Despite being an urban electric vehicle, its off-road-inspired styling appeals to both men and women,” noted Ms. Nguyễn Thị Quỳnh Như, a panel member. Beyond aesthetics, the VF 3’s customization options and affordability make it a top choice for young buyers.

VF 5 – Herio Green Dominates as “Service Vehicle of the Year”

In the “Service Vehicle of the Year” category, the VinFast VF 5 – Herio Green achieved a final score of 8.82, surpassing established contenders like the Mitsubishi Xpander and Kia Carnival. This award honors vehicles that excel in high-intensity, continuous operation, offering low costs without compromising durability or passenger comfort.

The judging panel praised the VF 5 – Herio Green for its affordability and unmatched cost-efficiency. Additionally, VinFast’s A-SUV model impressed with its versatility, smooth performance, and advanced features, outshining competitors in its segment.

“The VF 5 – Herio Green caters to both first-time buyers and service providers. With its current pricing and free charging policy, it offers a complete electric solution at a low cost, ensuring stable performance, hill-climbing capability, and long-distance reliability—a trusted choice for users,” remarked Mr. Nguyễn Kiên, a CCA 2025 panel member with extensive experience in the automotive and ride-hailing industries.

VinFast – “Breakthrough Automotive Brand”

Concluding the successful Gala, VinFast was honored with the “Breakthrough Automotive Brand” award. This recognition celebrates brands that have consistently contributed to Vietnam’s automotive industry—delivering high-quality products, creating jobs, driving economic growth, and striving for a stronger Vietnam.

With a score of 9.1, VinFast outpaced numerous international brands to reaffirm its position as Vietnam’s leading automotive company.

Mr. Nguyễn Mạnh Thắng, a 20-year automotive expert and CCA 2025 panel member, noted that in just seven years, VinFast has risen from zero to market leader. Its success is evident in its 2024 sales of over 87,000 vehicles, topping the market. Given its current growth trajectory, VinFast is poised to maintain its number one position in 2025.

VinFast is also recognized for its efforts in localizing Vietnamese automotive production. Currently, VinFast electric vehicles boast over 60% local content, with a target of 80% by 2026. This initiative bolsters domestic supporting industries, contributing to Vietnam’s sustainable economic development.

Beyond Vietnam, VinFast electric vehicles are now on roads worldwide, establishing the brand’s global presence.
