The Ferrari 812 GTS stands as one of the rare open-top supercars still powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine. At least three units have been privately imported into Vietnam, with the latest boasting an elegant matte green finish.
Recently, car enthusiasts spotted this Ferrari 812 GTS at a detailing center in Ho Chi Minh City, alongside a striking yellow Ferrari 296 GTB. The sight of these two Ferraris together quickly captured the attention of the online community.
The Ferrari 296 GTB is notable for its plug-in hybrid powertrain, featuring a turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 engine—marking the return of the V6 after five decades. The internal combustion engine delivers 654 horsepower, while the electric motor adds an additional 164 horsepower.
The combined output of the internal combustion and electric motors provides the 296 GTB with a maximum torque of 425 Nm and 315 Nm, respectively. This hybrid system grants the Ferrari 296 GTB a total of 818 horsepower and a peak torque of 740 Nm.
The Ferrari 296 GTB accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, reaching a top speed of 330 km/h. In electric-only mode, the hybrid model can travel up to 25 km at a maximum speed of 135 km/h.
The 296 GTB retains Ferrari’s eManettino system, offering driving modes such as eDrive, Hybrid, Performance, and Qualify, alongside traditional Manettino settings like Wet, Sport, Race, CT Off, and ESC Off.
The Ferrari 812 GTS features a hardtop roof that can be opened or closed in just 14 seconds with the press of a button. To accommodate the folding roof, the rear of the 812 GTS has been redesigned with an adjustable glass panel. The roof can be operated while driving, but only at speeds below 45 km/h.
As Ferrari’s most powerful V12 convertible currently available, the 812 GTS shares its 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine with the 812 Superfast, producing 789 horsepower and 718 Nm of torque.
The Ferrari 812 GTS accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 8.3 seconds, matching the performance of the 812 Superfast. Its top speed is an impressive 340 km/h.
