Recently, Porsche unveiled the pinnacle of its 911 lineup at the IAA Mobility show in Munich.

The vehicle is equipped with a groundbreaking twin-turbocharged powertrain featuring T-Hybrid technology. This sports car delivers an impressive 523 kW (711 PS) of power, combining exceptional performance with exclusivity, long-distance comfort, and everyday usability through its all-wheel-drive system.

The new Porsche 911 Turbo S builds upon the legacy that established its reputation. Its predecessor set the benchmark in the sports car world for blending superior performance, long-distance comfort, exclusivity, and daily practicality. Now, the 911 Turbo S elevates these standards across the board. Available in both Coupé and Cabriolet variants, this sports car introduces enhanced performance, a more commanding design, smarter aerodynamics, an optimized chassis, and an array of exclusive features.

Revolutionary Twin-Turbocharged T-Hybrid Powertrain
The newly developed high-performance powertrain generates 523 kW (711 PS), making the new 911 Turbo S the most powerful commercial 911 ever. This engine delivers a maximum torque of 800 Nm across a broad rev range from 2,300 to 6,000 rpm. The power curve impressively sustains peak output, maintaining 711 PS from 6,500 to 7,000 rpm.

Built on a 400V electrical architecture, the advanced T-Hybrid technology boosts system power by 61 PS compared to its predecessor. First introduced in 2024 on the 911 Carrera GTS, the T-Hybrid system has been significantly enhanced for the new 911 Turbo S. Unlike the GTS, which features a single electric turbocharger (eTurbo), the Turbo S is equipped with two eTurbos. These specially designed turbines and compressors meet the unique demands of this flagship 911 model. The dual eTurbos not only enhance performance but also improve the powertrain’s responsiveness.

The lightweight high-voltage battery, with a capacity of 1.9 kWh, is identical to that used in the 911 Carrera GTS. The eight-speed PDK transmission, integrated with an electric motor, channels power to Porsche’s Traction Management (PTM) all-wheel-drive system. The Turbo S Coupé accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, a 0.2-second improvement over its predecessor. It reaches 200 km/h in 8.4 seconds, 0.5 seconds faster. The top speed of the new 911 Turbo S is 322 km/h.

14 Seconds Faster on the Nürburgring Nordschleife

Despite the additional components for the high-performance hybrid system, the new 911 Turbo S is only 85 kg heavier than its predecessor. This weight increase is more than offset by enhancements in all dynamic aspects. The best proof is its lap time on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. During final testing in autumn 2024, a camouflaged 911 Turbo S achieved a time of 7:03.92 minutes under notary supervision—approximately 14 seconds faster than the previous model. “You don’t feel the added weight. On the contrary—the car is much more agile, handles better, and is significantly faster than its predecessor, evident in every performance test,” said Porsche Brand Ambassador Jörg Bergmeister, who was involved in the development and testing of the new 911 Turbo S and set the official lap time.

Optimized Braking System and Tires
Porsche engineers have fine-tuned the entire peripheral system to match the impressive performance of this flagship 911. The new tire generation on the 911 Turbo S offers significantly improved handling on dry surfaces while maintaining excellent performance on wet roads. The rear axle now features tires 10 mm wider than the previous model, measuring 325/30 ZR 21, while the front axle retains 255/35 ZR 20 tires. The standard Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) system features new pads capable of handling extreme loads, enhancing braking performance and pedal responsiveness. Engineers increased the rear brake disc diameter from 390 mm to 410 mm, while the front discs remain at 420 mm. This makes the 911 Turbo S the first two-door sports car equipped with the largest PCCB brakes ever.

Intelligent Active Aerodynamics

The new aerodynamic system optimizes cooling and performance for the 911 Turbo S. Vertical active air intakes at the front, combined with an active diffuser, a variable front spoiler lip, and a rear wing that extends and adjusts its angle, form a highly efficient aerodynamic system. Cooling air is optimally directed to the brakes and radiators. Depending on driving conditions, the intelligent active aerodynamics system reduces lift or drag. In its most aerodynamic state, the 911 Turbo S Coupé’s drag coefficient is 10% lower than its predecessor. Additionally, when Wet Mode is activated, the front diffusers close to protect the front brake discs from water splash, improving braking efficiency on wet surfaces.

Chassis for Enhanced Agility and Stability

The T-Hybrid powertrain, with its high-voltage electrical system and battery, allows Porsche engineers to equip the 911 Turbo S with the electro-hydraulic Porsche Active Chassis Control (ehPDCC) as standard. This system minimizes body roll during cornering and enhances agility when entering and exiting turns. It operates with cross-linked active stabilizers, generating pressure through oil flow based on driving conditions. These stabilizers provide support and keep the vehicle stable, making the sports car more controllable and easier to handle despite its immense power. As a result, the flagship 911 model improves both comfort and handling. For everyday usability, the electro-hydraulic PDCC system includes an optional front axle lift feature, operating much faster than the previous model thanks to its integration into the 400V electrical system.

The new standard sports exhaust system, featuring a rear silencer and titanium tailpipes, acoustically underscores the 911 Turbo S’s power. The engine sound is specifically tuned for this flagship model. Additionally, the exhaust system reduces weight by 6.8 kg. Another factor contributing to the emotionally rich sound is the engine’s internal upgrades. The 3.6-liter boxer engine operates with an asymmetric valve control mechanism, adding frequencies to the engine sound and producing a more powerful and crisp engine note.

Distinctive Design and Cutting-Edge Features

The new Turbo S variant introduces Porsche’s turbo design strategy across the 911 lineup. Numerous contrasting details are finished in Turbonite, a color exclusive to Turbo models, including the Porsche crest logo and the “Turbo S” designation at the rear. Distinctive Turbo S elements are also featured on the rear wing trim and window surrounds, highlighting the flagship model’s exclusivity. The Turbo S wheels include a new center-lock design in Turbonite.

The current flagship 911 model showcases the iconic Turbo design, featuring a wider body, increased track width, and additional air intakes on the rear sides, distinctly setting it apart from Carrera models. The redesigned rear end features dual air outlets emphasizing its broad stance. The titanium exhaust system, with its signature Turbo design, and the pearl-effect surface on the rear light strip, further distinguish the Turbo S from other 911 models. Optional oval titanium tailpipes with a unique structure are also available. Overall, the Turbo S’s distinctive design clearly differentiates it from all other 911 variants.

Inside, Turbonite accents are used on the door panels, steering wheel, dashboard, center console trim, decorative stitching, Sport Chrono stopwatch, and instrument cluster. Seat belts and several center console buttons are also finished in this color. For the first time, exclusive interior packages feature carbon-structured trim with neodymium accents and a perforated microfiber roof liner in black.

The Coupé variant comes standard with two seats. A rear seat configuration is available at no extra cost upon request. The Cabriolet offers a standard 2+2 seating arrangement. Porsche equips the new 911 Turbo S with HD Matrix LED headlights as standard, enhancing nighttime driving safety. The Sport Chrono package includes tire temperature displays, specially tuned PASM suspension, electro-hydraulic Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), and a titanium sports exhaust system. The interior features 18-way adjustable sports seats with memory function and “Turbo S” embroidery on the headrests. The distinctive Turbo S embossing on the seat surfaces and door panels echoes the design of the original 911 Turbo 930. Lightweight folding sports seats, familiar from the 911 GT3, are also available for the Coupé.

Extensive Customization Options

Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur offers an expanded range of customization options. In addition to the Paint to Sample program with over 100 exterior colors, options include Turbo Exclusive Design wheels in neodymium-painted carbon fiber, a lightweight carbon fiber roof, Exclusive Design rear lights, and carbon fiber side air intakes. For the first time, carbon fiber windshield wipers, 50% lighter than the standard option, are available. Interior upgrades include contrasting decorative stitching, personalized embossing, leather-trimmed seat controls and door sills with decorative stitching, and custom-painted keys.

Exclusive 911 Turbo S Wristwatch

The Porsche Design Timepieces Configurator allows for personalized “sports car for the wrist” creations, perfectly aligned with the 911 Turbo S. The new black dial features Turbonite design elements directly inspired by the car. The dial’s surrounding ring is available in all exterior car colors, including custom shades. The titanium case has a black carbide coating, and the strap is crafted from original Porsche interior leather and woven fabric. The “Turbo S” inscription is heat-embossed. The watch houses the Porsche Design caliber WERK 01.200 movement, certified by COSC, with a flyback chronograph function. An optional personalized rotor, inspired by the 911 Turbo S wheels, features a Turbonite Porsche logo. The case back can be engraved upon request. The 911 Turbo S Chronograph is handcrafted upon order at Porsche’s watchmaking facility in Grenchen, Switzerland.

911 Turbo S in Vietnam

Both the 911 Turbo S Coupé and 911 Turbo S Cabriolet are now available for order through Porsche Vietnam. Deliveries of this flagship 911 model are expected to begin in Vietnam in Q3 2026.
