According to Mr. Tran Nam (Hanoi), the transparent and clear purchasing experience at Green Future gave him peace of mind in owning a pre-owned VF 8. After two months of use, he feels his decision was absolutely right.

Hello Mr. Nam, we understand that before switching to the VinFast VF 8, you had a long-standing relationship with gasoline cars. What prompted you to change this long-held habit?

Yes, that’s correct. Previously, I drove a 2018 Kia Cerato, a traditional gasoline car, for nearly seven years. This period was long enough for me to realize that fuel and maintenance costs were becoming a burden. On average, I drove over 1,000 km per month, spending a few million dong on fuel alone, not to mention regular maintenance. When compared to electric vehicles, the difference is significant.

Beyond the costs, I also considered environmental factors. Electric vehicles are becoming more popular, and the widespread charging infrastructure of V-Green made me feel this was the right time to part ways with gasoline cars.

As a first-time electric vehicle buyer, why did you choose a pre-owned car instead of a new one?

Initially, I was indeed hesitant. I sold my Kia Cerato for 350 million dong and then considered my options. However, buying a new car requires a high financial capacity. If I bought a used car from an external dealership, without expertise, it would be difficult to assess the quality. I’d have to hire a mechanic and take the car to the manufacturer for inspection, but risks would still remain. This is why I turned to Green Future, to save costs while ensuring quality.

When I was researching, Green Future was just launching its pre-owned VF 8 line. I contacted the Phan Trong Tuyen dealership and received a long list of available vehicles. The cars were clearly categorized into three quality levels: Standard, Selected, and Signature, with prices ranging from 600 to 900 million dong. The differences between each car were based on mileage, production year, and remaining quality.

After consideration, I chose a VF 8 Plus manufactured in 2023, with over 60,000 km on the clock, in white. The car was priced at 858 million dong, and I only needed to pay an additional 500 million dong after selling my old car. Additionally, the company provided a 70 million dong subsidy through the “Trade Gasoline for Electric” program, and I’m currently processing the paperwork to receive this amount.

How does this experience differ from buying a car at an external dealership?

The biggest difference is the peace of mind. The car has been thoroughly inspected, comes with an official warranty, and can be serviced at the manufacturer’s service network. When needed, I simply contact the service advisor to schedule maintenance without any hassle.

In contrast, buying from an external dealership requires you to manage everything yourself, incurring inspection costs while still facing risks. With Green Future, everything is transparent and clear. This is a significant advantage for customers like me who aren’t technically savvy.

After more than two months of use, how would you rate the quality and experience of the VinFast VF 8 Plus?

I’m very satisfied. The pre-owned VinFast VF 8 Plus was thoroughly inspected according to factory standards, ensuring every detail is in top condition. The car offers a solid driving feel, with a powerful electric motor providing excellent acceleration. Compared to the Kia Cerato, it’s clearly more exhilarating. The electric vehicle operates smoothly, quietly, and feels safe and modern.

Over the past two months, I’ve driven it on long business trips and back to my hometown multiple times. The car has performed consistently. Most importantly, I feel reassured with the manufacturer’s support.

Regarding operating costs—your primary concern when switching—how does the VF 8 compare?

This is the most noticeable difference. Previously, I spent about 3.5–4 million dong per month on fuel. Now, I’m essentially cost-free, thanks to the free charging offer until the end of June 2027.

Moreover, electric vehicles have fewer minor issues, require no oil changes, and have a simpler structure, saving costs. This means I don’t have to worry as much as I did with a gasoline car, giving me greater peace of mind.

Looking back on your journey from selling your gasoline car to driving the VinFast VF 8, what have you learned?

I believe this was the right decision. The electric vehicle has helped me save costs, drive more enjoyably, and contribute to reducing emissions.

Especially, choosing Green Future eliminated my concerns about buying a used car. Everything from paperwork to quality and after-sales service is clear. I think this will be a suitable choice for many considering the switch to electric vehicles.

Thank you for sharing your experience!
