The iconic Italian automaker is gearing up for a new era with its first-ever electric vehicle, the Ferrari Elettrica.

According to official statements from the company, the Ferrari Elettrica is set to debut in the spring of 2026, marking a groundbreaking chapter in the brand’s 75-year legacy from Maranello.

While many details remain under wraps, initial revelations have already sparked excitement among global automotive enthusiasts. The Elettrica is rumored to feature four independent electric motors, one for each wheel, delivering a combined output of over 986 horsepower—rivaling Ferrari’s top hybrid models.

Insider sources suggest the front axle of the Elettrica borrows technology from the F80 hypercar, generating 282 horsepower, while the rear axle contributes an additional 831 horsepower. An advanced electronic torque vectoring system ensures optimal power distribution across various driving conditions.

Ferrari has developed three driving modes—Range, Tour, and Performance—allowing drivers to choose between efficiency, comfort, or maximum performance, staying true to the brand’s iconic “manettino” philosophy.

The Elettrica is projected to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds, reaching a top speed of 310 km/h. These figures position it as one of Europe’s fastest electric vehicles ever produced.

Ferrari confirms the Elettrica will be equipped with a 122 kWh high-density battery pack, offering a range of approximately 530 kilometers on a single charge. The battery’s low placement optimizes the vehicle’s center of gravity, while an active cooling system maintains peak performance at high speeds. Additionally, the Elettrica supports 350 kW fast charging, enabling a 10% to 80% charge in just 18 minutes.

Ferrari has kept the Elettrica’s design under tight wraps, though leaked test images hint at a sleek 4-door grand tourer with 4-seat capacity.

Inspired by the berlinetta architecture, the vehicle features a mid-rear engine layout and a compact 2,960 mm wheelbase. Notably, it’s the first Ferrari to incorporate a separate rear subframe, enhancing stability and reducing noise.

As Ferrari embraces electrification, the brand remains committed to its “emotion-driven design philosophy.” Aerodynamic contours and proportions are meticulously crafted to balance performance with the timeless allure of Italian craftsmanship.

One of Ferrari’s greatest challenges in the electric era is preserving the emotional connection through sound—a hallmark of its iconic engines.

Instead of synthetic sound systems, Ferrari has pioneered a unique approach: specialized sensors capture mechanical vibrations from the electric motors, amplifying and tuning them to create an authentic, immersive acoustic experience.

Ferrari emphasizes that this technology isn’t about replicating the V12’s roar but crafting a distinct “electric symphony” that maintains the emotional bond between driver and machine.

The Elettrica’s launch signifies a strategic shift for Ferrari amid the global transition to sustainable energy. By 2030, the brand aims for 40% of its lineup to be electric, while continuing to celebrate internal combustion engines in its high-performance models, particularly the V8 and V12.
