Porsche unveiled the finalized design and concept of the Porsche Experience Center (PEC) Singapore during the F1 week, launching the “Raceborn” campaign across the island nation. This initiative highlights the brand’s rich motorsport DNA and heritage.

Porsche’s racing legacy began in 1951 when the 356 SL “Super Leicht” secured the brand’s first major victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Today, with over 30,000 wins, Porsche actively competes in various racing series, including the exclusive Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, which supports the Singapore Grand Prix.

Beyond the F1 circuit, motorsport enthusiasts can own a piece of Porsche’s racing history with the Volkswagen T1 “Kombi” van, adorned in the classic Porsche Renndienst livery, cruising the streets.

The Renndienst van holds a special place in Porsche’s motorsport history, accompanying Porsche race cars to tracks and iconic road races like Targa Florio and Mille Miglia. These vans, carrying essential tools and equipment, were a familiar sight in paddocks across Europe.

This tradition revives in Singapore this year as the ‘Renndienst’ van travels to select locations, distributing limited-edition Porsche ‘Raceborn’ publications for free.

These stunning publications showcase Porsche’s motorsport history, from iconic Le Mans liveries to technological innovations transferred from track to road. Notable figures in Asia-Pacific motorsport are featured alongside stories of how current Porsche models trace their roots to the racetrack.

Official Design Reveal of PEC Singapore

The centerpiece of the ‘Raceborn’ publication is the official design concept of the PEC Singapore, set to open in 2027. Striking design elements include a ground-level event space for community-themed events like Cars & Coffee meetups, and the world’s first “in-building racetrack,” where drivers will navigate through the PEC Singapore building before accelerating onto the main straight.

The design also features a technical double S-curve demanding precision, an emergency control exercise area, low-friction and drift circles for oversteer and understeer control, and a banked corner allowing drivers to experience lateral acceleration up to 1.4G. The centerpiece building is a modern architectural masterpiece, sleek, minimalist, and unmistakably Porsche.

“Porsche is incredibly proud that PEC Singapore will be a landmark for the brand in the region, setting new standards with numerous world-first features for all visitors. This project truly embodies Porsche’s spirit of innovation and passion, and we are thrilled to see it come to life,” said Marc Beil, Senior Manager Porsche Experience at Porsche Asia Pacific.

“Every year during the iconic F1 night race, Singapore becomes the region’s motorsport hub. Porsche is proud to enhance Singapore’s status with the official design of the Porsche Experience Center Singapore. It will be where Porsche’s motorsport DNA meets unique driving experiences and a vibrant community atmosphere. With the Raceborn campaign, we aim to engage and connect with enthusiasts across Singapore and the region, leading up to the center’s opening in 2027,” added Yannick Ott, Director of Marketing at Porsche Asia Pacific.
