A brand-new luxury sports car, the Aston Martin DB11 V8, recently spotted parked near Ben Thanh Market in Ho Chi Minh City, quickly captured the attention of car enthusiasts and the online community. Notably, its exterior boasts a strikingly unique paint color.
What sets this particular vehicle apart is its one-of-a-kind paint job. Among the dozens of Aston Martin DB11 V8s in Vietnam, each features a distinct color, and this specific model stands out with its Cosmopolitan Yellow—a dazzling shade of yellow.
The Aston Martin DB11 Cosmopolitan Yellow, the only one of its kind in Vietnam, makes its appearance
Complementing its eye-catching color, the exterior of the Aston Martin DB11 Cosmopolitan Yellow features numerous black accents, including the front bumper, side mirrors, side skirts, extended rear roofline, rear bumper, and initially, a set of single-spoke black-painted wheels. However, the owner later upgraded to a dual Y-spoke wheel design.
Following in the footsteps of its predecessor, the Aston Martin DB9, the DB11 embodies the essence of a luxury sports car. A distinguishing feature between the V8 and V12 versions of the Aston Martin DB11 is the hood design. The V8 model features two distinctive vents on the hood.
The reason behind the authorized dealer’s decision to import the Aston Martin DB11 V8 instead of the V12 variant lies in cost considerations. The DB11 V8 benefits from more favorable tax conditions compared to its V12 counterpart. Upon its initial launch in the Vietnamese market, the Aston Martin DB11 V8 started at a price of 15.686 billion VND.
Aston Martin maintains its traditional door handle design across its lineup, and the luxury sports car DB11 V8 is no exception. To open the door, in addition to pressing the unlock button on the key fob, the owner must use a finger to press the door latch, causing the handle to pop out before the door can be opened.
Upon opening the 45-degree swan doors of the Aston Martin DB11 V8, occupants are greeted by a lavish interior featuring premium materials such as high-quality leather, aluminum, and carbon fiber.
The Aston Martin DB11 offers two engine options: a renowned V12 powerhouse and a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine sourced from Mercedes-AMG. Opting for the V8 engine not only delivers impressive performance but also qualifies for a more favorable special consumption tax rate in Vietnam.
The V8 engine powering the Aston Martin DB11 produces a maximum output of 510 horsepower and a peak torque of 675 Nm.
Paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission from ZF, the V8 engine drives the rear wheels, enabling the luxury sports car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds and attain a top speed of 301 km/h.
