Spending over $430 monthly on fuel for his traditional taxi, Mr. Ngo Van Nhu (Hanoi) now enjoys near-zero fuel costs after switching to the VinFast Limo Green electric vehicle.

Mr. Ngo Van Nhu (Hanoi) is among the first customers to receive the VinFast Limo Green in Vietnam. After two months of operating the service, he describes it as the “best decision” in his years-long career. The vehicle not only significantly reduces costs but also offers a smoother, more eco-friendly, and modern driving experience compared to traditional gasoline cars.

Mr. Ngo Van Nhu (Hanoi) is one of the first to receive the Limo Green in Vietnam

What motivated a driver accustomed to gasoline vehicles to pioneer the VinFast Limo Green?

Previously, I operated a Hyundai Grand i10 for my service. After some time, I sought a newer vehicle and explored electric options. Coincidentally, VinFast introduced the 7-seater Limo Green and opened pre-orders, so I chose this model. My primary reason for selecting an electric vehicle was its operational cost efficiency, which enhances profitability.

Fortunately, I was among the first few to receive the vehicle on August 5th. To date, it has covered nearly 10,000 km in about two months.

After two months, has your service operation with the electric vehicle met expectations?

I’m confident in my decision. Previously, my Hyundai Grand i10 consumed $21–$29 daily in fuel. Monthly, operating for at least 22 days cost $480–$630.

With the electric vehicle, my fuel costs are virtually zero. The free charging benefit until June 30, 2027, saves me approximately $10,500 in fuel expenses. Additionally, the absence of an internal combustion engine eliminates the need for oil changes, filters, and other maintenance, further reducing costs.

Daily, I cover 155–186 miles, earning $63–$85. Operating 22 days monthly yields $1,380–$1,870, or $16,560–$22,440 annually. Coupled with the $10,500 in fuel savings, I can recoup my initial investment within a year. Consistent 26-day monthly operation could shorten this timeframe.

Mr. Nhu highlights the electric vehicle’s smooth, comfortable ride in addition to cost savings

Beyond cost savings, how does driving the Limo Green differ from your previous gasoline vehicle?

The most noticeable difference is its smoothness and quietness. Whether in the city or on long trips, the ride is comfortable. Having driven various vehicles, from economy to luxury, I find the Limo Green exceptionally smooth.

On a 124-mile highway trip from Hanoi to Thanh Hoa, the vehicle accelerated well, with a stable, confident steering feel at high speeds.

For a high-mileage driver like yourself, does switching to an electric vehicle and charging present any trade-offs?

I’ve encountered no issues. VinFast states a 280-mile range per charge, which aligns with my experience. In urban settings with regenerative braking, I’ve achieved up to 292 miles. This meets my needs.

Charging is convenient. Living in Dong Anh, I have access to nearby 120 kW stations, requiring only 30 minutes for a near-full charge. Stations are widely available, eliminating concerns.

How do your customers perceive the VinFast Limo Green experience?

Passengers often remark, “It’s more comfortable than regular taxis,” citing the absence of fuel odors and vibrations. The spacious, smooth ride ensures comfort even for third-row passengers on long journeys.

Initially, I considered 7-seater gasoline models like the Mitsubishi Xpander and Toyota Veloz Cross. However, the Limo Green’s superior features became evident, and I’m satisfied with my decision.
