The teaser images reveal that the 2027 Kia Telluride is designed under Kia’s signature “Opposites United” design philosophy. This approach harmoniously blends contrasting elements such as nature and technology, strength and sophistication.
The new Telluride boasts a bold, boxy exterior accentuated by vertical LED daytime running lights that wrap around the main headlights. Inspired by star maps, these LEDs mirror the rear taillights, while a larger grille further enhances its commanding presence.

Sharp, triangular wheel arch creases resemble diamond cuts, symbolizing power and precision. Kia describes this detail as “embodying the majestic spirit of the Rocky Mountains,” a nod to the Telluride name inspired by the Colorado town nestled within this range.
Black trim on the D-pillar creates a floating roof effect, adding a modern, trendy touch to this full-size SUV. The widened wheel arches and sleek body lines strike a perfect balance between muscularity and elegance.

Technical specifications and features of the 2027 Telluride remain under wraps. Rumors suggest two new engine options: a 3.5L V6 gasoline engine producing 287 hp and 352 Nm of torque, slightly less powerful than the current 3.8L V6. Additionally, Kia is expected to introduce a Telluride Hybrid with a turbocharged 2.5L four-cylinder engine, a 1.65 kWh battery, and two electric motors integrated into a 6-speed automatic transmission. This hybrid system could deliver up to 329 hp and 459 Nm of torque, with fuel efficiency potentially exceeding 12.7 km/l (7.8 l/100 km) on highways.
In Vietnam, THACO Auto introduced the Kia Telluride in November 2022 with an estimated price of 2.7 billion VND. However, this full-size SUV has yet to officially launch in the Vietnamese market.
