The A-class car segment continued to be overlooked by Vietnamese buyers in September 2025, with total sales across all models reaching a mere 400 units. Among these, the Toyota Wigo was the only model to experience a sales decline compared to the previous month.

A-Class Car Sales in September 2025 (units: cars)
Hyundai Grand i10: 224 Units
In September, Vietnamese consumers purchased 224 Hyundai Grand i10 units, marking a 28.7% increase from the previous month. This result solidifies the Hyundai model’s leading position in the A-class car segment in terms of sales.

Hyundai Grand i10
The Hyundai Grand i10 in Vietnam is available in six versions, priced between 360 and 455 million VND. Notably, it is the only model in its segment offering both sedan and hatchback body styles, providing customers with the most diverse options in the domestic market.
Beyond its design versatility, the Hyundai Grand i10 boasts impressive features for its class. Highlights include LED daytime running lights, 15-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights, and side mirrors with integrated turn signals. The interior features an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto support, a Vietnam-specific navigation system, a push-button start, and a smart key.
Under the hood, the Hyundai Grand i10 is powered by a 1.2L Kappa MPI engine, delivering 83 horsepower and 114 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission.
Toyota Wigo: 110 Units
As mentioned earlier, the Toyota Wigo was the only model in the A-class segment to experience a sales decline in September 2025, with 110 units sold, a 35.2% drop from August. Despite this, the Toyota Wigo maintained its second-place position in the segment.

Toyota Wigo
In Vietnam, the Toyota Wigo is offered in a single version, starting at 405 million VND. Compared to its rivals, the Kia Morning and Hyundai Grand i10, it has fewer variants.
However, the Toyota Wigo is well-equipped, featuring LED headlights, power-folding side mirrors, 14-inch alloy wheels, a 7-inch touchscreen, a 4-speaker audio system, blind-spot monitoring (BSM), and rear cross-traffic alert (RCTA).
Powering the Toyota Wigo is a 1.2L engine paired with a dual D-CVT automatic transmission, producing 87 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque. Unlike the Hyundai Grand i10, it does not offer a manual transmission option.
Kia Morning: 32 Units
The Kia Morning achieved the highest growth rate in the A-class segment in September, with 32 units sold, a remarkable 540% increase. This performance helped the Kia Morning exit the top 10 slowest-selling cars in Vietnam, though it remains at the bottom of the A-class segment.

Kia Morning
This impressive growth is attributed to the launch of an upgraded version in September 2025. The new Kia Morning is available in two versions, AT and GT-Line, priced between 439 and 469 million VND.
The higher price tag is justified by its modern design and features. The new model boasts LED headlights and taillights with a distinctive “star map” graphic, 15-inch two-tone alloy wheels, an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a 6-speaker audio system, and automatic climate control, a unique feature in its segment. Unfortunately, it still lacks cruise control, unlike some competitors.
The Kia Morning is powered by a 1.25L engine, delivering 83 horsepower and 120 Nm of torque. Unlike previous versions, it is only available with an automatic transmission.
