While most Japanese automakers are gearing up for the upcoming 2025 Japan Mobility Show (JMS), Toyota has unveiled a special concept car in the U.S.: the Camry GT-S Concept. This sporty sedan will take center stage at Toyota’s booth during the 2025 SEMA Show.
Born at Toyota’s CALTY Design Research studio in California, the Camry GT-S Concept is hailed as the “high-performance hero of the Camry lineup.” True to this title, it features a race-inspired body kit and chassis enhancements that elevate its sporty credentials.

The custom body kit includes a sharper front bumper, sporty side skirts, and an extended rear diffuser. Additionally, the GT-S boasts a “duck tail” rear spoiler and all-new 20-inch wheels.

The exterior features a two-tone paint scheme, combining a bold Inferno Flare orange with black accents on the hood, roof, wheels, and more. The interior design, however, remains under wraps.

Toyota confirms the interior will largely mirror the production Camry, emphasizing the project’s focus on exterior design and chassis enhancements. The cockpit retains the familiar layout, featuring a digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Mechanically, the GT-S receives several upgrades, including adjustable coilover suspension that lowers the ride height by 38 mm. The chassis has been sport-tuned, and the braking system now features 8-piston front and 6-piston rear calipers with 365 mm rotors.

Despite its sporty demeanor, the Camry GT-S Concept retains the standard hybrid powertrain. This includes a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 232 horsepower, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive (AWD). Performance remains similar to the standard Toyota Camry Hybrid.

As previously announced, the Toyota Camry GT-S Concept will debut at the 2025 SEMA Show, held from November 4-7 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Toyota emphasizes that the GT-S Concept is more than just a show car; it represents a potential future direction for the brand. It will be showcased alongside over 20 other Toyota concepts under the theme “Powered by Possibility.”
