The centerpiece of Honda’s booth at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 is the latest all-electric SUV, the Honda 0 α (Zero Alpha), part of the Honda 0 Series lineup.
This model is positioned as an entry-level vehicle, targeting young customers and the mass market.
The Honda 0 α is developed based on the philosophy of “Thin, Light, Wise,” showcasing a sleek yet modern body design. The lowered roofline, combined with a maintained ground clearance, ensures the SUV’s versatility across various terrains.
The rear design embodies the signature style of the 0 Series, exuding strength while optimizing passenger space. The entire lighting system features slim LED lights, with a glowing Honda logo centered at the front—a new signature element for Honda’s electric vehicles.
The aerodynamically refined multi-spoke alloy wheels reduce drag, enhancing overall performance.
While interior details remain undisclosed, Honda promises a “slim yet spacious cabin,” ensuring comfort and optimal visibility for occupants.
Alongside the 0 α, Honda also showcased the Honda 0 SUV, a premium variant within the same lineup. Previously unveiled globally alongside the 0 Saloon sedan at CES 2025 in Las Vegas.
Compared to the 0 α, the Honda 0 SUV boasts a sportier design with a steeply raked windshield, an upward-sloping rear end, a large rear diffuser, and U-shaped taillights, emphasizing its athletic crossover appeal. The pixelated headlights highlight its technological prowess, while the central glowing Honda logo maintains design consistency across the 0 Series.
Features like pop-out door handles and camera-based side mirrors enhance modernity and aerodynamic efficiency. The 21-inch wheels, paired with Michelin electric vehicle-specific tires, ensure superior grip and high-speed stability.
The Honda 0 α will spearhead the 0 Series’ market penetration, targeting key regions like Japan and India. Global sales are slated for 2027, with subsequent expansion to Europe and North America.
For the Honda 0 SUV, pricing remains undisclosed but is expected to undercut the 0 Saloon’s $80,000 (2.1 billion VND) tag. All three models—0 α, 0 SUV, and 0 Saloon—will launch in Japan before the end of fiscal year 2027 (March 31, 2028).
