At the Japan Mobility Show 2025, the Mercedes-Benz booth captivated attention with its new all-electric SUV – the GLC EQ 400 4MATIC. This model represents the fully electrified version of the familiar GLC lineup.

Compared to its gasoline counterpart, the Mercedes-Benz GLC EQ boasts significantly larger dimensions, measuring 4,845 mm in length, 1,913 mm in width, and 1,644 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,972 mm.

Its overall design is instantly recognizable thanks to the illuminated matrix grille featuring 942 LED dots, creating a unique lighting effect each time the vehicle starts.

The Digital Light headlamps integrate daytime running lights shaped like a three-pointed star, seamlessly matching the rear LED taillights – a signature element of the German brand’s new design language. Large air intakes and a sporty rear diffuser ensure this electric SUV retains the bold character of the traditional GLC series.

Inside, the GLC EQ impresses with its 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen spanning nearly the entire dashboard width. It features an electronic shift lever behind the steering wheel, dual wireless charging pads, and premium white leather upholstery, exuding modernity and luxury.

In addition to the main cargo area with a standard capacity of 570 liters, the GLC EQ offers a 128-liter front storage compartment, ideal for flexible luggage arrangement. Folding the rear seats expands total cargo space to 1,740 liters.

Powering the GLC EQ 400 4MATIC are dual electric motors delivering 489 horsepower and 808 Nm of torque, paired with a full-time all-wheel-drive system. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds.

The 94 kWh battery pack provides a maximum range of 713 km on a single charge, among the most impressive figures in the luxury electric SUV segment. Its 800V architecture supports rapid charging at 320-330 kW, enabling a 10-80% charge in just 22 minutes.

According to the plan, the Mercedes-Benz GLC EQ 400 4MATIC will arrive at dealerships in 2026, while the GLC 300+ EQ variant is expected to launch in early 2027.
