Despite having held a driver’s license for nearly three years, Mr. Bùi Thế Đạt (Hanoi) experienced his first time behind the wheel of an electric car. Alongside his group of friends, he arrived at the event early on the first day to test drive the VinFast VF 9, the flagship SUV from this Vietnamese brand.
Designed to offer the most authentic driving experience, the VF 9 test course was divided into multiple sections, including slalom maneuvers, rough terrain, acceleration tests with noise evaluation, and slippery surfaces. Participants also experienced the regenerative braking system and advanced ADAS technologies. The course quickly garnered positive feedback from attendees.

“The first thing I noticed was the silence. No engine noise, no vibrations, just the sound of rain and the tires on the road. With a gentle press of the accelerator, the VF 9 surged forward with power yet remained smooth. The electric motor’s decisive acceleration felt like taking off in an airplane,” Mr. Đạt recounted enthusiastically.
Though the test course was only a few hundred meters long, it featured diverse obstacles and terrains, allowing participants to fully appreciate the VF 9’s stability and solidity. The robust chassis, precise steering, and excellent road grip—even on rain-slicked surfaces—left him feeling completely at ease.

Mr. Hoàng Phúc Thành Vinh (Hanoi), another group member, shared a similar view. “What impressed me most about the VF 9 was its expansive visibility. Sitting high up, the view is incredibly comfortable, and the driving confidence is unmatched,” Mr. Vinh noted. Even on tight turns, the vehicle remained stable with minimal body roll, a common issue in large SUVs.
Navigating the rough terrain, Mr. Vinh remarked, “I barely felt any bumps thanks to the air suspension system. I used to think electric vehicles were only suited for cities, but after driving the VF 9, I realize it’s powerful and sturdy enough for long trips, even on mountainous roads. Given the chance, I’ll definitely buy one.”

Unlike the younger participants, Mr. Đặng Ngọc Đức, a Hanoi-based businessman, was more concerned with the vehicle’s economic efficiency. Currently owning a CX-5, Mr. Đức braved the rain to explore the VF 9, seeking a spacious, comfortable, and cost-effective vehicle with reliable performance and excellent soundproofing.
“I’m planning to open a business branch in my hometown of Bắc Giang, but frequent trips to Hanoi are unavoidable. I need a vehicle that’s comfortable for my family and fuel-efficient. The VF 9 is truly an outstanding candidate,” Mr. Đức shared.
Currently, Mr. Đức spends approximately 7 million VND monthly on fuel. Switching to the VF 9, with its free charging, would reduce fuel costs to zero. Maintenance for electric vehicles is also simpler and more affordable, as they don’t require regular oil changes like traditional gasoline or diesel vehicles.
Despite the rainy weekend, many residents from Hanoi and surrounding areas seized the opportunity to experience the VinFast VF 9.
The customer also praised the interior. With premium materials, a 15.6-inch central entertainment screen, and a smooth electric motor, the VF 9 offers a unique experience from the very first moment. These features transform the VF 9 into more than just a vehicle—it’s a luxurious and private tech space.
