At the 2025 EICMA Exhibition (Milan, Italy), Honda Motor officially unveiled the all-new electric motorcycle, the Honda WN7, marking the beginning of the “FUN Electric Vehicle” product line that the company aims to develop globally.
Inspired by the philosophy “Be the Wind,” the Honda WN7 is designed to deliver a sense of freedom, silence, and purity in riding, true to the spirit of a zero-emission vehicle. The bike features a minimalist yet modern design, highlighted by a striking black and yellow color scheme and a horizontal LED position light. This design will become the new signature style for future Honda electric motorcycles.
The WN7 boasts a sleek and refined silhouette, dominated by a black and yellow color palette. The horizontal LED position light and clean lines give the bike a contemporary edge, poised to become a design hallmark for Honda’s electric motorcycle lineup.
In front of the rider is a 5-inch TFT color display, clearly presenting operational information. Honda has also equipped the WN7 with the RoadSync smart connectivity app—a newly developed platform that allows users to link their phones for navigation, call reception, and message alerts directly on the bike’s screen.
Additionally, a 20-liter storage compartment under the seat significantly enhances practicality. Riders can easily store half-helmets, rain gear, or personal items, making the WN7 not only powerful but also practical for daily commuting.
Powering the Honda WN7 is a liquid-cooled electric motor paired with a new-generation inverter, delivering 67 horsepower and a maximum torque of 100 Nm. According to Honda, this performance rivals that of 600cc gasoline motorcycles, while offering superior acceleration and smoothness thanks to the belt drive system.
The WN7 is equipped with a fixed 9.3 kWh lithium-ion battery, supporting two charging methods: fast charging via CCS2 and standard charging via Type 2. The bike can charge from 20% to 80% in 30 minutes and fully charge in approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. Each full charge provides an estimated range of 140 km, ideal for daily urban use.
Like many modern electric vehicles, the WN7 features a regenerative braking system. Riders can adjust the regeneration level via a control button on the handlebars, enabling energy recovery during deceleration, enhancing braking efficiency, and extending the bike’s range.
Instead of using a steel or aluminum frame like gasoline motorcycles, Honda employs the lithium-ion battery as the bike’s main structural component. The battery pack, positioned centrally and encased in a rigid aluminum shell, serves as both a load-bearing element and a means to reduce overall weight and lower the center of gravity, resulting in a more agile riding experience. This design also enhances stability at high speeds.
According to the plan, the Honda WN7 will be assembled at the Kumamoto plant in Japan before being exported to other markets.
