A brand-new Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII has joined the impressive luxury car collection of CJ Roy, Chairman and Founder of Confident Group, India’s leading real estate conglomerate.

With this addition, the Kerala-based entrepreneur now proudly owns his 12th Rolls-Royce.

The delivery ceremony, shared by Big Boy Toyz—a premier luxury and supercar dealership in India—on Instagram, garnered hundreds of thousands of views within hours.

The video showcases the pearl white Phantom VIII arriving on a specialized transporter, draped in luxurious velvet. Mr. CJ Roy, arriving in his white Mercedes-Maybach, steps out amidst the Big Boy Toyz team, personally unveils the masterpiece, and is greeted with applause and cheers.

Following the handover, he expressed satisfaction with the acquisition and thanked Jatin Ahuja, Founder of Big Boy Toyz, for the “exceptional purchasing experience.”

Launched in India in 2018, the Phantom VIII represents the eighth generation of the iconic British ultra-luxury sedan. Built on the Architecture of Luxury platform, it features an exclusive aluminum spaceframe, reducing weight while enhancing ride comfort.

Powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.75-liter V12 engine delivering 571 hp and 900 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, the Phantom VIII measures nearly 6 meters in length (extended wheelbase variant). Its engineering ensures a whisper-quiet cabin, virtually eliminating vibrations.

The Phantom VIII’s interior is likened to “mobile artistry.” Each vehicle offers bespoke customization, including the “Gallery”—a glass-covered dashboard display for personal art pieces. Additional highlights include the Starlight Headliner, champagne cooler, crystal glassware, and industry-leading soundproofing, earning its title as “the world’s quietest car.”

Mr. CJ Roy acquired his first Rolls-Royce in 2008, when Phantoms were rare symbols of opulence in India. Over 15 years, he has owned 12 Rolls-Royces, primarily Phantoms and Ghosts, with some vehicles “parting ways after extended use.”

In India, the Phantom VIII starts at 10 crore INR (approximately $1.2 million USD), excluding bespoke customizations.

Beyond his role as a successful businessman, Mr. Roy serves as the Honorary Consul of the Slovak Republic in Karnataka and Kerala. His passion for luxury cars transcends status, reflecting a lifelong journey rather than mere display.

For him, the Phantom embodies perfection and meticulousness—values mirrored in Confident Group’s projects. Each Rolls-Royce in his collection symbolizes not just luxury, but a legacy of excellence and personal pride.
