“Transforming the Honda S2000 into an Ultimate Custom Build: Celebrating 25 Years of Bulletproof”

Recently, U.S.-based tuner Bulletproof Automotive unveiled a special edition dubbed the BP25, boasting a staggering 10,000 RPM redline and over 580 horsepower.

At the heart of the S2000 BP25 lies a brand-new 2.0L four-cylinder engine, paired with a Vortech V2-Si supercharger, delivering an impressive 580+ horsepower at 9,300 RPM and an astonishing 10,000 RPM redline—a remarkable feat for a 2.0L engine.

The powertrain has been comprehensively upgraded, featuring a titanium Amuse exhaust system (including headers), a high-performance fuel system with Injector Dynamics injectors, and a Science of Speed radiator to maintain optimal temperatures during high-rev operation.

Power is delivered through Honda’s 6-speed AP2 manual transmission, coupled with a short-throw shifter and a lightweight ACT flywheel. The car utilizes an ASM & Drexler limited-slip differential, optimizing torque delivery to the rear wheels for precise and exhilarating handling.

To harness this immense power, Bulletproof equipped the BP25 with Top Secret Super Dampers coilovers and high-performance components from J’s Racing, Spoon, and EVS.

Design-wise, the BP25 stands out with its Varis Dark Panther widebody kit crafted from carbon fiber, including a vented hood, a large rear wing, and an ultra-lightweight trunk. These elements not only enhance aerodynamics but also lend the car a distinct, aggressive sports car aesthetic.

The entire body is finished in Lamborghini’s Balloon White, matching the color of the Concept One—the first car ever built by Bulletproof.

The BP25 rides on 19-inch BP-RW Evolution wheels inspired by Tsuchime metalworking—a traditional Japanese hammering technique used in knife-making. These wheels are paired with Toyo Proxes R888R tires (295/30ZR19) and Brembo Pista brakes (6-piston front, 4-piston rear) for exceptional stopping power.

Inside the cabin, Bulletproof installed RS-G Limited Edition Super Start seats, a Mugen steering wheel, Mugen strut bars, and FIA-approved Willans harnesses, creating an authentic race car atmosphere.

The interior is upholstered in premium black Alcantara on the dashboard, door panels, and headliner, enhancing both luxury and functionality by reducing glare—a common feature in professional race cars.

The Honda S2000 BP25 was created to celebrate Bulletproof Automotive’s 25th anniversary. Based in Los Angeles, Bulletproof is renowned for its high-performance parts, race cars, and bespoke customization projects.

The BP25 made its public debut at the 2025 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, a global hub for unique automotive creations. There, the S2000 BP25 instantly became a centerpiece, seamlessly blending classic sports car heritage with cutting-edge technology.

More than a decade after the Honda S2000’s production ended, the BP25 proves that the legacy of this iconic vehicle lives on, elevated not only by its performance but also by the boundless creativity of automotive enthusiasts.
