The 2026 Kia Seltos boasts a more squared-off and upright overall design. It features vertical LED daytime running lights paired with a horizontal light strip across the front. The SUV is expected to incorporate several unique design elements, some of which may spark debate.

The Kia Seltos 2026 is equipped with vertical taillights, mirroring the front lighting design.
The new Kia Seltos is also expected to significantly increase in size compared to the current generation, promising a more spacious interior. The current model is already well-equipped, and the new generation is likely to further enhance its features. Anticipate a redesigned dashboard layout and upgraded interior materials.
The current Kia Seltos offers three engine options: a naturally aspirated 1.5L gasoline engine with a maximum output of 115 horsepower, a turbocharged 1.5L gasoline engine producing 160 horsepower, and a 1.5L diesel engine with a maximum output of 116 horsepower. These engine options are likely to carry over to the second generation.
Excitingly, Kia will introduce a new hybrid powertrain for the second-generation Seltos. This system is expected to pair a naturally aspirated 1.5L gasoline engine, similar to the current model, with an electric motor. This move will position Kia to compete more effectively with hybrid variants of the Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder. The same powertrain will also feature in the upcoming three-row Telluride SUV from Kia.

There are also rumors that the 2026 Kia Seltos will offer an electrified all-wheel-drive (e-AWD) version in select global markets. However, in markets like India, the 2026 Kia Seltos e-AWD is unlikely to be available.
Following its debut in South Korea, the second-generation Kia Seltos will launch in other global markets, including India. Meanwhile, its introduction in Vietnam is expected to be further down the line.
