Recently, social media has been abuzz with leaked images allegedly from an internal Honda event, revealing intriguing details about the upcoming Honda CR-V e:HEV 2026 set to launch in Vietnam.
The shared images suggest that the Honda CR-V e:HEV 2026 will introduce a new L variant, positioned below the current RS model. The RS version is expected to retain its price tag of 1.259 billion VND, while the L variant is anticipated to be at least 50 million VND more affordable.
To achieve a more accessible price point, the L variant may omit certain features compared to the RS. Potential exclusions include a sunroof, interior ambient lighting, a reduced 7-inch center display, and an 8-speaker audio system instead of the 12-speaker Bose setup.
Additionally, Honda is expected to transition to a push-button gear selector, replacing the traditional gear lever. This redesign optimizes central console space and lends a more contemporary look to the interior.
Speculations also point to the CR-V e:HEV 2026 launching in Vietnam in February 2026, with immediate availability. Previously, Honda Vietnam confirmed that the CR-V e:HEV would be assembled domestically.
Since its Vietnam debut in October 2023, the CR-V e:HEV has become Honda Vietnam’s best-selling hybrid model, with 1,558 units delivered in the first nine months of 2025. It also earned the “Hybrid Car of the Year” title at the 2025 Car Choice Awards.
With local assembly, the CR-V e:HEV is poised to gain a competitive edge through a stable supply chain and more accessible pricing. This move underscores Honda Vietnam’s commitment to localization and the development of eco-friendly vehicles.
