Bentley has unveiled the Continental GT Supersports, a highly anticipated model that marks a significant return to the brand’s grand touring heritage. This release is a milestone for enthusiasts who have eagerly awaited its arrival for years.
The 2026 Continental GT Supersports boasts a bold design optimized for downforce, featuring a redesigned front bumper with large air intakes, seamless fenders, a rear diffuser with exhaust outlets, and a distinctive “ducktail” spoiler. The laser-cut mesh grille and large rear diffuser framing the Akrapovic titanium exhaust tips are signature elements. The new aerodynamic package increases downforce by up to 300 kg compared to the GT Speed.
In collaboration with Manthey Racing, Bentley developed exclusive 22-inch wheels for the Continental GT Supersports. The car is equipped with 440 mm ceramic-carbon brakes on the front axle, among the largest ever fitted to a production car. These brakes work in tandem with Pirelli P-Zero tires, and customers can opt for Trofeo RS tires for enhanced high-speed grip. The Akrapovic titanium exhaust system delivers a sportier, more distinct sound under acceleration.
Inside, Bentley maintains its signature handcrafted interior while embracing a minimalist philosophy aligned with performance. The cabin features two lightweight sports seats mounted low, with 11-way electric adjustability.
Behind the seats lies a leather-trimmed storage area with carbon fiber accents. The interior includes carbon or aluminum trim options, a Supersports logo on the sill plates, and a numbered plaque in the center console. Mulliner offers extensive customization options, ensuring each vehicle reflects its owner’s individuality.
The GT Supersports undergoes extreme weight reduction: removing the rear seats, reducing sound insulation, simplifying driver aids, and incorporating a carbon fiber roof. These measures bring the vehicle’s weight below 2 tons for the first time in nearly a century, optimizing weight distribution for both track and road performance.
Instead of pursuing electrification, Bentley focuses on a pure mechanical driving experience. The GT Supersports is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 engine producing 657 hp and 800 Nm of torque—over 100 hp and 200 Nm less than the Continental GT Speed hybrid. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 310 km/h, slightly slower than the Speed but offering a more emotionally engaging drive.
A key innovation is Bentley’s shift to rear-wheel drive, a first for the Continental lineup. Power is delivered through an optimized ZF 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, electronic rear differential, and rear-axle steering, ensuring agility. The air suspension and dynamic control systems are tuned for high-performance driving.
The GT Supersports launch coincides with the 100th anniversary of the original 1925 Super Sports. Bentley engineers developed the new model with a focus on creating the lightest possible rear-drive GT, rigorously tested on both track and road.
Bentley will begin accepting orders for the GT Supersports in March 2026, with production starting in Q4 2026 and first deliveries in early 2027. Limited to 500 units, the model will be available in the UK, Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, and select Middle Eastern countries. Pricing has yet to be announced.
