On November 15, 2025, Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam celebrated their first anniversary with the “One Year – Full Cheer” event in Ho Chi Minh City.
The event attracted a large number of attendees, including customers, distributors, and representatives from prestigious media outlets in Southern Vietnam.
During the event, Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam (OJV) surprised everyone by announcing plans to launch 16 new vehicle models in 2026—the most diverse lineup ever introduced by a Chinese automotive brand in Vietnam. This comprehensive range includes gasoline, hybrid (HEV), plug-in hybrid (SHS), and pure electric (BEV) vehicles, covering urban SUVs, sports SUVs, off-road vehicles, and next-generation green cars.
This move not only highlights Omoda & Jaecoo’s rapid growth in Vietnam but also underscores their commitment to the philosophy “Coming to Vietnam – For Vietnam,” offering Vietnamese customers more choices in the era of smart and sustainable mobility.
16-Product Lineup: A Strategy to Cover All SUV Segments in Vietnam
Omoda & Jaecoo’s 2026 product plan is tailored to meet the diverse needs of Vietnamese consumers. The 16 new models will span various segments, from stylish urban SUVs and family SUVs to off-road and electrified SUVs, ensuring a perfect match for every customer group.
Notable upcoming models include the Omoda C5, Omoda C7, and O4, targeting tech-savvy young drivers; the Jaecoo J5, J6, J7, and J8, designed for those who appreciate power, luxury, and adventure; and a range of plug-in hybrids featuring the advanced Super Hybrid System (SHS) and pure electric vehicles (BEV) as part of Vietnam’s green transportation strategy.
This diverse lineup demonstrates Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam’s commitment to expanding its presence with a wide range of solutions, catering to various mobility needs—from affordable to premium, and from urban to rugged terrains.
Super Hybrid 3 DHT Technology: A Competitive Edge for Omoda & Jaecoo
A key highlight of the 2026 development plan is Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam’s integration of world-leading hybrid technology into its product lineup. Alongside market expansion, Omoda & Jaecoo focuses on delivering efficient and practical green mobility solutions, with the Super Hybrid – 3 DHT technology taking center stage.
On April 20, 2021, Chery Group—the parent company of Omoda & Jaecoo—unveiled the world’s first Super Hybrid 3 DHT system, a breakthrough in high-performance hybrid technology. Equipped with two electric motors and three clutches, the motors can operate independently or simultaneously, optimizing performance based on driving conditions. The gasoline engine engages from 20 km/h, and at 120 km/h, the engine runs at just 2,290 RPM, improving fuel efficiency by over 50% compared to traditional gasoline vehicles. This system, featuring nine driving modes, will debut in the Jaecoo J8 SHS in 2026.
The Super Hybrid technology not only showcases Chery’s R&D capabilities but also gives Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam a distinct competitive advantage: efficient green technology tailored to Vietnam’s infrastructure and usage patterns.
Real Investment for Long-Term Vision in Vietnam
Alongside its product strategy, Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam is accelerating investments in its distributor network, operational ecosystem, and services. In just one year, the brand has achieved unprecedented growth in Vietnam’s automotive market. Starting as a newcomer, Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam has rapidly expanded to 39 distributors nationwide—the fastest-growing Chinese automotive brand in Vietnam.
In late October 2025, Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam broke ground on its manufacturing plant in Hung Yen Province, set to begin operations in 2026. This marks a new phase of localization, production, and increased supply capacity, enabling the brand to control vehicle supply, optimize costs, and enhance competitiveness in Vietnam.
Additionally, the brand is expanding its green solutions network by partnering with smart charging station developers and establishing charging systems at dealerships and urban areas, preparing for the growth of hybrid and electric vehicles.
Every step—from expanding dealerships and building factories to diversifying products—reflects Omoda & Jaecoo’s unwavering philosophy: “Coming to Vietnam – For Vietnam.”
The announcement of 16 new models for 2026 marks a significant leap in Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam’s development strategy. It not only showcases the brand’s rapid growth but also highlights its clear vision: to become a pioneering automaker offering the most choices, advanced technology, and practical value to Vietnamese customers.
