Much like other car segments in the Vietnamese market, the B-sized SUV segment also experienced a sales growth in October 2025. During the past month, only one B-sized SUV model saw a decline in sales, and that was the Toyota Yaris Cross.

B-sized SUV Sales in October 2025 (unit: vehicles)
VinFast VF 6: 2,524 vehicles
The top-selling model in the B-sized SUV segment for October 2025 is the VinFast VF 6, overtaking the Toyota Yaris Cross from the previous month. This electric SUV sold 2,524 units, a 30.5% increase, and entered the top 10 best-selling cars in the Vietnamese market.

The appeal of the VinFast VF 6 stems from its attractive pricing, starting from 689 to 749 million VND for the Eco and Plus versions (including battery), low operating costs, a widespread public charging network across the country, and a free charging policy until June 30, 2027.
The heart of the VinFast VF 6 Eco is a 100 kW electric motor (approximately 134 horsepower) with a maximum torque of 135 Nm. The Plus version boasts 150 kW (around 201 horsepower) and 310 Nm. Both versions use LFP batteries with a capacity of 59.6 kWh. The Eco and Plus versions have a range of 399 km and 381 km, respectively, according to the WLTP test cycle.
Mitsubishi Xforce: 1,854 vehicles
October 2025 was also a successful sales month for the Mitsubishi Xforce. The model sold 1,854 units, a 34.9% increase, propelling it to second place in the B-sized SUV segment. It is also Mitsubishi’s second best-selling model in Vietnam, just behind the Xpander.

The Mitsubishi Xforce’s main advantage is its affordability, priced from 599 to 705 million VND. Additionally, it features a stylish design, adequate amenities, and safety features, often accompanied by monthly discounts of tens of millions of VND.
Under the hood, this B-sized SUV is powered by a 1.5L four-cylinder gasoline engine, delivering a maximum output of 105 horsepower and a peak torque of 141 Nm. The engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and front-wheel drive. It offers four driving modes, including Normal, Gravel, Mud, and Slippery, in higher-end variants.
Toyota Yaris Cross: 1,833 vehicles
Closely following the Mitsubishi Xforce is the Toyota Yaris Cross, with sales reaching 1,833 units, a 6.6% decrease. It is the only model in the B-sized SUV segment to experience a decline in the past month. Within the Toyota family, the Yaris Cross remains the best-selling model.

Over the past few months, the Toyota Yaris Cross has consistently received support from the manufacturer in the form of registration fee waivers worth tens of millions of VND. This, combined with its reasonable pricing (from 650 to 765 million VND), appealing design, reputable brand, and well-equipped standard features, has helped the Yaris Cross gain favor among Vietnamese consumers.
The Toyota Yaris Cross in Vietnam is currently available in two versions: Gasoline and Hybrid. The Gasoline version features a 1.5L four-cylinder engine, producing a maximum output of 105 horsepower and a peak torque of 138 Nm, paired with a D-CVT continuously variable transmission. The Hybrid version is equipped with a 1.5L four-cylinder gasoline engine generating 90 horsepower, combined with an electric motor delivering 79 horsepower and a lithium-ion battery.
Hyundai Creta: 1,022 vehicles
In October 2025, the Hyundai Creta sold 1,022 units to Vietnamese customers, an 11.7% increase. With this result, the Creta has become Hyundai’s best-selling model in Vietnam, surpassing the Tucson.

The Hyundai Creta in Vietnam received a mid-life upgrade a few months ago. The new version features significant changes in design and equipment while maintaining an attractive price range of 599 to 705 million VND.
Powering the Hyundai Creta is a 1.5L SmartStream gasoline engine, delivering a maximum output of 115 horsepower and a peak torque of 144 Nm. This engine is paired with an intelligent continuously variable transmission (iVT) and front-wheel drive.
Toyota Corolla Cross: 1,020 vehicles
Trailing the Hyundai Creta by just 2 units is the Toyota Corolla Cross. In October 2025, this model was chosen by 1,020 Vietnamese customers, a 3.6% increase.

Although in the same segment, the Toyota Corolla Cross is larger, offers a more spacious interior, and is priced higher than its sibling, the Yaris Cross, ranging from 820 to 905 million VND. Like the Toyota Yaris Cross, this B-sized SUV provides two engine options.
The first is a 1.8L four-cylinder gasoline engine, producing a maximum output of 140 horsepower and a peak torque of 172 Nm, paired with a CVT-i continuously variable transmission. The second is a hybrid system, featuring a 1.8L four-cylinder gasoline engine generating 97 horsepower and a peak torque of 142 Nm, combined with an e-CVT transmission and an electric motor delivering a maximum output of 72 horsepower and a peak torque of 163 Nm.
Honda HR-V: 766 vehicles
The model with the highest growth rate in the B-sized SUV segment for October 2025 is the Honda HR-V. It sold 766 units, a 111% increase, allowing the Honda HR-V to climb to a higher position in the segment, surpassing the Kia Seltos. This success can likely be attributed to the official promotional program offered in September 2025.

The Honda HR-V does not have a price advantage in the Vietnamese market, ranging from 699 to 869 million VND. However, it impresses with its robust design, adequate features, standard ADAS active safety systems, and highly rated driving experience in its segment.
The Honda HR-V in Vietnam offers two engine options. The first is a 1.5L i-VTEC four-cylinder gasoline engine, naturally aspirated, producing a maximum output of 119 horsepower and a peak torque of 145 Nm.
The second is a hybrid system, featuring a 1.5L four-cylinder gasoline engine generating 105 horsepower and an electric motor delivering 129 horsepower. According to Honda, the new HR-V e:HEV RS is 30% more fuel-efficient than the gasoline version and offers smoother acceleration.
Kia Seltos: 632 vehicles
Following the Honda CR-V is the Korean model, the Kia Seltos, with 632 units sold. Compared to the previous month, its sales increased by 46.9%.

The Kia Seltos is a model developed by the Hyundai Group, similar to the Creta. However, compared to the Hyundai Creta, the Seltos is priced higher, ranging from 599 to 764 million VND, while its design and features are not inferior.
Like many competitors in the segment, the Kia Seltos in Vietnam offers two engine options. The first is a 1.5L Smartstream four-cylinder naturally aspirated gasoline engine, delivering a maximum output of 113 horsepower and a peak torque of 144 Nm, paired with a CVT automatic transmission.
The second is a 1.5L Smartstream four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine, producing a maximum output of 158 horsepower and a peak torque of 253 Nm, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT).
Mazda CX-30: 119 vehicles
In October 2025, the sales of the Mazda CX-30 remained almost unchanged from the previous month. It sold 119 units, a decrease of just 1 unit.

True to the Mazda family’s tradition, the CX-30 boasts an appealing design and well-equipped features. However, its pricing is relatively high for the segment, ranging from 699 to 749 million VND.
Powering the CX-30 is a naturally aspirated SkyActiv-G 2.0 gasoline engine, delivering a maximum output of 153 horsepower and a peak torque of 200 Nm. This engine is paired with front-wheel drive and a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Mazda CX-3: 93 vehicles
At the bottom of the B-sized SUV segment is the Mazda CX-3, with a slight 3.3% increase to 93 units sold.

Unlike its sibling, the CX-30, the Mazda CX-3 has been transitioned to domestic assembly instead of being imported as a complete unit. However, in October 2025, the remaining imported Mazda CX-3 units in dealer inventory were still sold to customers in Vietnam.
Compared to the CX-30, the Mazda CX-3 is significantly more affordable, ranging from 549 to 569 million VND. However, its design and features are less impressive.
In the new version, the CX-3 is equipped with a power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory function, a Mazda Connect infotainment system, a 7-inch touchscreen display, automatic climate control, a head-up display (HUD), paddle shifters, and more.
This model currently uses a 1.5L SkyActiv-G gasoline engine, delivering a maximum output of 110 horsepower and a peak torque of 144 Nm, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission featuring a Sport mode and front-wheel drive.
