Brabus Unveils Two New Convertible SUVs: The 800 Cabrio and 800 XL Cabrio, Both Based on the Mercedes-AMG G63

The standout feature of these two models is their intricate soft-top roof, comprising over 500 individually crafted components. This fully automated system can open and close in just 20 seconds and includes heated rearview mirrors.

To ensure stability at high speeds, Brabus reinforced the windshield frame and added a carbon fiber strut to maintain the roof’s shape. The vehicles also feature rear roll bars and a tonneau cover to protect the fabric structure when the roof is down for extended periods.

Design-wise, the Brabus 800 Cabrio boasts a refined rear end and the signature Widestar body kit. The 24-inch Monoblock ZM wheels, paired with high-performance Hankook tires, enhance its aggressive stance, while the sport suspension lowers the vehicle by 20 to 40 mm compared to the standard G63.

The interior is fully customizable, featuring premium leather, carbon fiber accents, new shift paddles, and an Airscarf system for neck warming.

Powering both models is a twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 engine, tuned by Brabus to deliver 789 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque. This power is channeled through a 9-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The 800 Cabrio accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4 seconds and reaches an electronically limited top speed of 240 km/h.

Meanwhile, the 800 XL Cabrio focuses on off-road capabilities with a portal axle suspension system, offering a ground clearance of 480 mm. It features smaller 22-inch wheels with off-road tires for better obstacle clearance. This setup slightly reduces performance, with a 0–100 km/h time of 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 210 km/h.

Brabus will produce only 50 units of each model. The 800 Cabrio starts at $877,350 (approximately 23.14 billion VND), while the 800 XL Cabrio begins at around $1 million (26.37 billion VND), with prices varying based on customer options.

With their limited production and extensive customization, the Brabus G-Class Cabrio duo stands as the most unique and prestigious convertible SUVs available to automotive enthusiasts today.
