At the award ceremony held in New Delhi, India, VinFast was honored by the organizers of the Jagran Hi-Tech Awards 2025 as the “Electric Vehicle Manufacturer of the Year.” Simultaneously, the VF 7 model from the Vietnamese electric vehicle brand also received the “Breakthrough Electric Vehicle of the Year” award. This double recognition further solidifies VinFast’s significant strides in the Indian market.

These accolades reflect the well-deserved recognition from India’s expert community for both VinFast and the VF 7 model. In a short span, the Vietnamese automaker has emerged as one of the most promising names in India’s electric vehicle sector.

Mr. Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia, stated: “We are deeply honored that our efforts have been recognized at the Jagran Hi-Tech Awards. This achievement reflects VinFast’s rapid progress in India within a very short period, as well as the strong trust and support from our customers. The positive market response and growing confidence in our VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs reaffirm that India is ready to embrace a new era of mobility. We will continue to expand our network, strengthen local operations, and deliver world-class electric vehicle experiences to customers nationwide.

Mr. Arjit Garg, Automotive Editor at Jagran New Media, commented: “VinFast embodies the spirit of innovation and progress driving India’s transition to electric mobility. The company’s rapid advancements in technology, design, and sustainable development position it as a game-changer and a global brand shaping the future of electrified transportation. As the only electric vehicle manufacturer to inaugurate a factory in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, this year, VinFast has made significant strides in the Indian market through its customer-centric strategy and long-term investment roadmap. Therefore, the ‘Electric Vehicle Manufacturer of the Year’ and ‘Breakthrough Electric Vehicle of the Year’ awards for the VF 7 are well-deserved.

As VinFast accelerates its operations in India, the company continues to build a comprehensive electric vehicle ecosystem, integrating retail, charging stations, and after-sales services to ensure a seamless customer experience. With 24 operational dealerships in key cities and plans to expand to 35 by the end of 2025, VinFast is strengthening its nationwide presence, bringing premium electric mobility closer to consumers.

Supporting this expansion is VinFast’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, spanning 160 hectares. In its initial phase, the plant will assemble the VF 6 and VF 7 models with an initial capacity of 50,000 vehicles per year, scalable to 150,000 units.
