During the pursuit of Chen Zhi, the mastermind behind a large-scale fraud network, Taiwanese authorities seized numerous high-value assets.
These assets include 26 supercars from renowned brands such as Bugatti, Lamborghini, Ferrari, McLaren, and Porsche, with a total estimated value exceeding $15 million (395.68 billion VND).
Among this impressive collection, the Ferrari Monza SP2 stands out as a particularly notable vehicle. This rare speedster belongs to the Icona Series, Ferrari’s most prestigious collection. Chen Zhi frequently used this car during his time in Taipei.
While official details about Chen Zhi’s Ferrari remain undisclosed, sources suggest he purchased the Monza SP2 in 2019. The car bears the license plate BQC9999 and features a striking French Racing Blue exterior with Bianco King accents, divided by a Giallo Modena yellow stripe along its body.
The Monza SP2 boasts a two-seat speedster configuration without a roof, showcasing Ferrari’s signature aerodynamic design.
This Monza SP2 is equipped with premium features, including five-spoke aerodynamic wheels, yellow-painted brake calipers, and an airbrushed Scuderia logo. Components like the side skirts, front splitter, and rear diffuser are crafted from carbon fiber. The exhaust system retains its polished metal finish, adding a distinctive touch to the rear end.
The interior features Azzurro Santorini leather-upholstered sports seats, accented with Bianco white stitching and a hand-embroidered Prancing Horse emblem.
Ferrari has equipped the Monza SP2 with a naturally aspirated 6.5L V12 engine, delivering 810 horsepower and 719 Nm of torque. Paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch F1 transmission and rear-wheel drive, this speedster accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and reaches a top speed exceeding 300 km/h.
Ferrari produced only 499 units of the Monza SP1 and SP2 worldwide, making the Monza SP2 an exceptionally rare find in the pre-owned supercar market.
