Honda has unveiled an upgraded version of the CR-V in the Southeast Asian market, with the most significant change being its powertrain system.
Instead of the previous diverse options, the entire Honda CR-V lineup now adopts the e:HEV hybrid configuration.
Specifically, the vehicle is powered by a combination of a 2.0L Atkinson cycle gasoline engine and two electric motors, delivering a maximum output of 207 horsepower and 335 Nm of torque. This powertrain is paired with an e-CVT transmission, offering two drivetrain options: front-wheel drive or the Real-Time AWD system with E-DPS traction control.
According to Honda, the front-wheel-drive e:HEV RS variant achieves an average fuel efficiency of approximately 19.6 km/l. Depending on driving conditions, the vehicle seamlessly switches between three modes: Engine Drive, Hybrid Drive, and EV Drive, allowing for pure electric operation at low speeds when the battery is sufficiently charged.
The overall dimensions of the CR-V e:HEV 2026 remain unchanged, measuring 4,694 mm in length, 1,864 mm in width, 1,692 mm in height, and with a 2,700 mm wheelbase. Ground clearance is 198 mm for the front-wheel-drive version and 208 mm for the AWD variant, paired with a 57-liter fuel tank.
This upgrade introduces significant enhancements in technology and comfort. The 2026 Honda CR-V now features a 5-seat configuration and, for the first time, offers ventilated front seats. The safety suite has been expanded to include blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
The cabin boasts a modern interface with Google Built-in, Honda CONNECT, Digital Key, 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, and a 10.2-inch TFT digital instrument cluster. Starting from the e:HEV ES trim, the vehicle is equipped with a BOSE sound system and premium interior refinements.
The RS variant is styled with a sportier aesthetic, featuring black accents on the front and rear bumpers, side skirts, wheels, and RS logo. The interior combines red and black tones, a sport steering wheel, and dark trim elements, creating a bold and modern look compared to standard models.
All CR-V e:HEV 2026 models in Thailand are directly imported from Japan, priced between 1,399,000 and 1,729,000 baht, equivalent to approximately 1.15 to 1.4 billion VND.
Thai customers will benefit from a comprehensive 5-year or 140,000 km warranty, including a standard 3-year/100,000 km coverage and an extended 2-year/40,000 km package. The hybrid system is covered for 5 years, while the hybrid battery enjoys a 10-year warranty with no mileage limit, ensuring long-term peace of mind for owners.
With its fully hybrid platform, advanced technology upgrades, and enhanced comfort features, the CR-V e:HEV 2026 is positioned as an appealing choice for those seeking a fuel-efficient urban SUV with smooth performance and everyday practicality.
