According to the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (VAMA), in November 2025, domestic consumers purchased 39,338 cars, a 3.7% increase. This includes 28,557 passenger cars, 10,273 commercial vehicles, and 488 special-purpose vehicles. Compared to the previous month, passenger car sales rose by 5%, commercial vehicle sales increased by 1%, and special-purpose vehicle sales dropped by 3%.
VAMA’s report also highlights that domestically assembled vehicles achieved sales of 18,370 units in November, a 7% rise from October. In contrast, completely built-up (CBU) imported vehicles reached 20,968 units, a 1% increase.
Despite the overall positive growth in Vietnam’s automotive market, the list of the slowest-selling car models in November 2025 remains relatively unchanged. This list excludes models with zero sales, such as the Ford Mustang Mach-E, Mazda6, and Mitsubishi Outlander.

Top 10 Slowest-Selling Cars in Vietnam, November 2025 (units: vehicles)
1. Honda Accord: 8 Units
The Honda Accord remains the slowest-selling car in Vietnam for November 2025, with only 8 units sold, marking a 60% increase.

Honda Accord
The Honda Accord is a familiar face in the top 10 slowest-selling cars in Vietnam. Its high starting price of 1.319 billion VND and limited single-variant option offer fewer choices for buyers. Additionally, the lack of design and feature updates in recent years has diminished its appeal. The decline of the D-segment sedan market further impacts its sales.
2. Kia Morning: 16 Units
The Kia Morning ranks second, with 16 units sold in November 2025, a 44.8% decrease. This makes it the slowest-selling A-segment car in its category.

Kia Morning
In September 2025, the Kia Morning received an upgraded version with improved design and features in Vietnam. However, this update has not significantly boosted its sales.
3. Toyota Alphard: 20 Units
The Toyota Alphard, a luxury MPV, takes the third spot with 20 units sold, a 35.4% decline.

Toyota Alphard
Selling 20 units in Vietnam is impressive for the Toyota Alphard, given its high price range of 4.37-4.475 billion VND. This “land-based private jet” is not aimed at the mass market.
4. Mitsubishi Pajero Sport: 27 Units
The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is the most surprising entry, with 27 units sold in November 2025, after months of zero sales. This brings its year-to-date total to 75 units.

5. Isuzu mu-X: 29 Units
The Isuzu mu-X, a mid-size SUV, sold 29 units, a 13.7% decrease, making it the slowest-selling D-segment SUV.

Isuzu mu-X
The mu-X struggles in Vietnam due to its polarizing design and Isuzu’s association with commercial trucks rather than passenger vehicles.
6. Suzuki Jimny: 30 Units
The Suzuki Jimny sold 30 units, a 76.4% increase, yet remains in the top 10 slowest-selling cars.

Suzuki Jimny
The Jimny’s high starting price of 789 million VND and inadequate size, convenience, and safety features contribute to its poor sales in Vietnam.
7. Toyota Corolla Altis: 30 Units
The Toyota Corolla Altis matches the Jimny with 30 units sold, a slight 3.4% increase from October.

Toyota Corolla Altis
Like the Honda Accord, the Corolla Altis suffers from unattractive pricing, unchanged design, and features, coupled with the declining C-segment sedan market in Vietnam.
8. Kia K5: 33 Units
The Kia K5 sold 33 units, a 43.4% increase, but remains in the top 10 due to the overall decline of the D-segment sedan market.

Kia K5
Despite being more affordable than the Honda Accord, the Kia K5 struggles due to the overall downturn in the D-segment sedan market.
9. Kia Soluto: 33 Units
The Kia Soluto, a B-segment sedan, sold 33 units, a 50% increase, but remains unpopular due to inferior design and features compared to rivals like the Toyota Vios, Honda City, and Hyundai Accent.

10. Suzuki Swift: 39 Units
The Suzuki Swift, a B-segment hatchback, sold 39 units, a 31.5% decrease, marking its first appearance in the top 10 slowest-selling cars since its re-entry into Vietnam in June 2025.

Suzuki Swift
The Swift’s high starting price of 569 million VND and the small B-segment hatchback market in Vietnam hinder its sales performance.
