Japan Car of the Year is Japan’s most prestigious automotive award, held annually since 1980. Each year, newly launched vehicles in the Japanese market are evaluated by experts, journalists, and industry professionals based on criteria such as design, technology, performance, environmental friendliness, and practical value.
