A Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII Series II has become the center of attention after appearing with custom wheels designed to resemble the face of a Rolex Submariner watch.

According to Novitec, this Phantom is owned by Klaus Koenigsallee, a renowned German jeweler. The choice to customize the wheels with a Rolex-inspired design is said to align with his personal brand identity, which he is actively building.

The wheels, developed by Novitec based on the SP3 model, have been meticulously redesigned to mimic the bezel of the Submariner. Signature elements such as minute markers, grooved edges, and watch-inspired fonts have been seamlessly integrated into the design. The center of the wheel features the owner’s name, while the wheel cap is engraved with a German message referencing his jewelry shop on Königsallee Street in Düsseldorf.

The exterior of the Phantom remains largely unchanged, retaining Rolls-Royce’s signature luxurious and minimalist design language. However, the custom wheels set the vehicle apart on the road, creating a striking contrast between the brand’s pure philosophy and the owner’s bold customization.

The appearance of the Phantom with Rolex-style wheels has sparked mixed reactions, ranging from curiosity to skepticism. For a jeweler like Klaus, however, this customization serves as a distinctive identifier and a visually compelling way to promote his personal brand.
