At the Motor Expo 2025 held in Thailand earlier this December, Mazda unveiled the 6e electric vehicle, marking one of the first Southeast Asian markets to debut this model.
Within five days of its launch, the Mazda 6e, the successor to the Mazda6, garnered 1,000 pre-orders in Thailand. By the end of the Motor Expo 2025, sales soared to an impressive 2,968 units.

The Mazda 6e is flying off the shelves in this major Southeast Asian market.
Developed under the philosophy of “Electrified Perfection in Oneness,” the Mazda 6e redefines the 5-door NeoFastback segment. Its design, inspired by the Kodo – Soul of Motion language, exudes elegance from every angle, both inside and out.

The Mazda 6e boasts a sleek and stunning design.
The Mazda 6e features a Flying Signature electric vehicle grille with integrated charging status display. Additional highlights include a dual-layer lighting system with daytime running LEDs, 19-inch aerodynamic dual-spoke alloy wheels, hidden door handles, and crescent-shaped taillights connected by a speed-responsive rear spoiler.

Built on Changan’s EPA platform, the Mazda 6e measures 4,921 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,491 mm in height, with a 2,895 mm wheelbase. Compared to the Mazda6, it’s 56 mm longer, 50 mm wider, 35 mm taller, and has a 70 mm longer wheelbase, offering a more spacious interior.

The Mazda 6e is larger than the Mazda6.
The standard trunk capacity is 330 liters, expanding to 1,074 liters with the rear seats folded. An additional 70-liter storage compartment is located under the hood.
In Thailand, customers can choose between two interior packages: Premium Black and Exclusive Nappa Suede. The Premium Black package features a black leather interior for a sporty, modern feel, while the Exclusive Nappa Suede offers a luxurious beige Nappa leather and suede combination.

Notable features in the Thai market include a flat-bottom steering wheel, auto-dimming rearview mirror, 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, 14.6-inch floating center touchscreen, 50-inch AR-HUD, 14-speaker Sony sound system, wireless charging, 64-color ambient lighting, and a panoramic sunroof.
Under the hood, the Mazda 6e is powered by an electric motor delivering 258 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 175 km/h. Paired with a 77.9 kWh lithium-ion battery, it offers a range of up to 600 km. The vehicle supports 200 kW DC fast charging, enabling a 30% to 80% charge in just 15 minutes.
Pricing for the Mazda 6e in Thailand has not been announced but is expected to start above 1 million Baht (approximately 840 million VND). Manufactured by Changan in China, the right-hand-drive version for Thailand will also be imported from there.
It remains unclear whether Mazda plans to introduce the 6e to other Southeast Asian markets, such as Vietnam, following its Thai launch.
