The Nissan Almera’s new generation has unexpectedly surfaced ahead of its official launch.
Leaked images reveal significant design changes, marking a complete departure from the 2023 facelift.
Upfront, the 2026 Nissan Almera boasts a bold redesign with a dual-tier lighting setup. High-mounted LED daytime running lights complement the horizontal grille and Nissan’s updated logo. The main headlights sit lower, creating a distinct visual contrast to the current model. The front bumper has also been refined, while the side profile remains largely unchanged, except for new alloy wheel designs.
The rear end showcases notable updates as well. Redesigned taillights feature new lighting graphics, connected by a black reflective strip with the model name integrated at the center. The license plate has been relocated to the rear bumper, moving away from its previous position on the trunk lid. The lower bumper adopts a sportier aesthetic.
While the interior remains under wraps, the steering wheel is expected to retain its familiar design. However, the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system are likely to receive upgrades in this refresh.
Powering the 2026 Nissan Almera in Mexico is likely a 1.6L four-cylinder gasoline engine, delivering 122 horsepower and 155 Nm of torque. This engine pairs with a CVT transmission and front-wheel drive.
According to plans, Nissan Mexico will officially unveil the new-generation Versa/Almera in the coming weeks.
