Recently, images of a high-speed sports car, dubbed the fastest in the Porsche Cayman lineup, unexpectedly surfaced on the streets of Ho Chi Minh City, capturing the attention of car enthusiasts.
You’re not mistaken—after numerous Porsche 718s with custom body kits, the street-legal Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS in its original form has officially arrived in Vietnam, thanks to an order from a passionate Porsche enthusiast. This collector is known for their love of high-performance models like the 911 GT2 RS, 911 GT3 RS, and 918 Spyder.
From social media posts, this Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS is finished in a striking red hue, complemented by sleek carbon fiber details. It’s poised to make waves among Porsche enthusiasts in Vietnam.
While the official pricing for the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS hasn’t been announced, the standard model is currently priced at 3.9 billion VND (excluding options). It wouldn’t be surprising if this variant exceeds 10 billion VND, depending on the customizations chosen by the Vietnamese buyer.
Porsche previously revealed that the 718 Cayman GT4 RS completed a lap of the Nürburgring in just 7:04.511 minutes, outpacing the 718 GT4 by 23.6 seconds.

To achieve such remarkable performance, the 718 Cayman GT4 RS is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.0L six-cylinder engine borrowed from the 911 GT3, capable of revving up to 9,000 RPM. This engine, after tuning, delivers 500 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque—slightly less than the 911 GT3’s 510 hp and 470 Nm but still a significant upgrade over the Cayman GT4’s 420 hp and 420 Nm.
This power boost enables the Cayman GT4 RS to reach a top speed of 315 km/h and sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds. In comparison, the Cayman GT4 with the PDK transmission tops out at 302 km/h and takes 3.9 seconds for the same sprint. The GT4 RS is exclusively available with a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission, featuring shorter gear ratios, and does not offer a manual option.
