The Vietnamese car market experienced positive growth in November 2025, but this had little impact on the A-segment car category. During the month, most models in this segment saw a decline in sales, with the exception of the Toyota Wigo.

A-Segment Car Sales in November 2025 (Unit: Cars)
Hyundai Grand i10: 360 Units
Leading the A-segment in sales for November 2025 is the Hyundai Grand i10. This South Korean model achieved sales of 360 units, a slight decrease of 0.5%. The Hyundai Grand i10 is almost certain to retain its title as Vietnam’s best-selling A-segment car in 2025.

Hyundai Grand i10
The Hyundai Grand i10’s strengths lie in its diverse versions and styles compared to competitors. Additionally, its affordable price range of 360-455 million VND and well-equipped features make it a compelling choice in the segment.
Notable features of the Hyundai Grand i10 include LED daytime running lights, 15-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights, and side mirrors with integrated turn signals. Inside, it boasts an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto support, a Vietnam-specific navigation system, a push-button start, and a smart key.
Under the hood, the Hyundai Grand i10 is powered by a 1.2L Kappa MPI engine, delivering a maximum power of 83 horsepower and a peak torque of 114 Nm. This engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission.
Toyota Wigo: 262 Units
As mentioned earlier, the Toyota Wigo was the only model in the A-segment to experience sales growth in November 2025. It sold 262 units, a 7.3% increase compared to the previous month.

Toyota Wigo
Compared to the Hyundai Grand i10, the Toyota Wigo offers fewer versions and a higher starting price. With only one version available at 405 million VND, it still appeals to Vietnamese consumers due to its compact design, reputable brand, high resale value, and competitive features.
The Toyota Wigo comes equipped with LED headlights, power-folding side mirrors, 14-inch alloy wheels, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 4-speaker audio system, blind-spot monitoring (BSM), and rear cross-traffic alert (RCTA).
Powering the Toyota Wigo is a 1.2L engine paired with a dual D-CVT automatic transmission. This engine produces a maximum power of 87 horsepower and a peak torque of 113 Nm. Unlike the Hyundai Grand i10, the Toyota Wigo does not offer a manual transmission option.
Kia Morning: 16 Units
At the bottom of the A-segment rankings is the Kia Morning, with just 16 units sold in November 2025, a significant decline of 44.8%. Not only does it rank last in the A-segment, but the Kia Morning also made it into the top 10 of the least-selling cars in the entire Vietnamese market for November 2025.

Kia Morning
The Kia Morning received an upgraded version in the Vietnamese market in September 2025. The new model offers two versions, AT and GT-Line, priced between 439 and 469 million VND, which is relatively high for the A-segment.
The new Kia Morning features standout equipment such as LED headlights and taillights with a distinctive “star map” design, 15-inch two-tone machined alloy wheels, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto support, a 6-speaker audio system, and automatic climate control—a unique feature in its segment. Unfortunately, it still lacks cruise control, which is available in some competitors.
The Kia Morning is powered by a carryover 1.25L engine, producing a maximum power of 83 horsepower and a peak torque of 120 Nm. Unlike the previous generation, the new model does not offer a manual transmission, relying solely on an automatic gearbox.
