Launched in the Vietnamese market in early December, the Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid has only recently started arriving at dealerships.
The introduction of this “gas-electric” variant not only enriches Hyundai’s product lineup but also serves as a strategic move to fill the void left by the previously successful diesel engine models.
Observations from several dealerships in Hanoi reveal that the initial batch of Santa Fe Hybrid units remains limited. To boost interest in this newcomer, some dealers are offering a direct discount of 50 million VND, reducing the actual selling price from 1.369 billion VND to 1.319 billion VND. Notably, pure gasoline variants are also being heavily promoted with significant discounts ranging from 140 to 170 million VND. Some dealerships are even willing to offer up to 200 million VND in discounts for 2024 models to clear inventory ahead of the Lunar New Year.
The Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid impresses with its “Boxy” design language, reminiscent of classic luxury SUVs. Built on the modern N-Platform chassis, it boasts overall dimensions of 4,830 mm in length and a wheelbase of 2,815 mm. These specifications not only lend the vehicle a commanding presence but also ensure an exceptionally spacious interior, catering to the demanding needs of family-oriented customers.
The standout feature of this model is its hybrid powertrain, combining a turbocharged 1.6L gasoline engine with an electric motor and a 1.49kWh Li-ion Polymer battery pack. This setup delivers a total output of 235 horsepower and a maximum torque of 367 Nm.
