At the 2025 Vietnam Mobility Show, VinFast unveiled the commercial version of its EC Van electric cargo vehicle for the first time. This innovative electric cargo van made its debut in Vietnam in May 2025.

The VinFast EC Van is Vietnam’s first electric vehicle specifically designed for cargo transport and commercial logistics. According to VinFast, this vehicle is an ideal solution for household businesses and corporate fleets, catering to a wide range of transportation needs.

With dimensions of 3,767 mm in length, 1,680 mm in width, 1,790 mm in height, and a 2,520 mm wheelbase, the EC Van is versatile enough for both urban and rural environments. It’s also suitable for all-day operation in city settings. The vehicle offers a spacious 2,600-liter cargo capacity and can handle payloads exceeding 600 kg.

Inside, the EC Van features a flat-bottomed plastic steering wheel without integrated controls. Behind the wheel is a digital instrument cluster displaying essential information such as speed, odometer, energy consumption, and battery level. As an affordable commercial vehicle, the EC Van lacks luxury amenities like power-adjustable seats, large touchscreen displays, wireless charging, and electronic parking brakes.

Powering the EC Van is a 30 kW electric motor with a maximum torque of 110 Nm, enabling a top speed of 75 km/h.
Additionally, the EC Van is equipped with a 17 kWh battery, providing a range of 150 km on a single charge. Users can take advantage of fast DC charging at public stations, with a maximum power of 19.4 kW. Charging from 10% to 70% takes approximately 42 minutes. Alternatively, overnight charging is possible with a 3 kW portable charger.

In Vietnam, the VinFast EC Van is priced at 285 million VND, including the battery. The vehicle comes with a 5-year or 130,000 km warranty, while the battery is covered for 7 years or 160,000 km, whichever comes first. VinFast also offers an optional 20 million VND package for customers seeking additional convenience features.
