On December 31, 2025, the CEP Microfinance Organization under the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation partnered with VinFast, GSM, and the Binh Tan Motorbike Taxi and Ride-Hailing Union to launch a support program for drivers purchasing VinFast electric motorbikes. Under this initiative, drivers can receive loans covering up to 100% of the vehicle’s value at a 0% interest rate for 12 months. This program is part of a broader effort to achieve the goal of converting 400,000 motorbike taxis and ride-hailing vehicles in Ho Chi Minh City to electric power.

Specifically, drivers who are members of the Binh Tan Motorbike Taxi and Ride-Hailing Union, as well as other unions in the city, will receive loan support of up to 100% of the vehicle’s value from the CEP Microfinance Organization for Poor Workers. VinFast will cover all interest payments for 12 months, while GSM will provide technological support to help drivers seamlessly join and operate on the Xanh SM Platform. New drivers will also benefit from attractive policies, optimizing their income and operational efficiency.

Customers purchasing VinFast electric motorbikes directly through GSM and operating on the Xanh SM Platform will receive a 90% revenue share until July 31, 2028. Additionally, drivers will enjoy free charging at V-Green public charging stations. The low maintenance and repair costs of electric vehicles ensure that VinFast drivers on the Xanh SM Platform achieve optimal income relative to their time and effort.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Global CEO of GSM, stated: “As a platform provider for tens of thousands of electric motorbikes operating daily, we understand the concerns of drivers when transitioning to new vehicle types. We believe that through this collaboration between CEP, VinFast, GSM, and the Union, we can eliminate financial barriers, provide peace of mind, and create attractive income opportunities for drivers. This initiative also aligns with the city’s shared goals.”

The program will run until the end of 2026, with an estimated budget of hundreds of billions of VND. It is expected to help tens of thousands of drivers in Ho Chi Minh City transition to electric motorbikes seamlessly and cost-effectively.
